Having a high resolution doesnt mean youre going against the mainstream, and even if it does, just because you go against the mainstream doesnt mean you have good character. I use 1152x864 on a 17", simply because going any higher would be impractical. If I had a higher-quality monitor, I'd go up to 1280 or maybe even 1600, but I dont. Does this make me less worthy of your respect?

I think he's talking about people who don't use the proper aspects for their monitor size.

To be honest, to have the same physical size is the goal and on a 15-17" that's 1024 x 768. 21" is 1600 x 1200, taking that they aren't widescreen monitors of course. (Some people like it smaller, such as you)

Going lower, such as around 10 or so inches, 800 x 600 creates the same physical size on the monitor.

I've run into many people who have 21" screens set to 640 x 480, just because they never bothered to resize it. If that's what he was talking about, then I understand, otherwise, I'd agree with you.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

I use 1280 x 1024, that may be the max for my moniter (17") but evan if
it were to go to 1600 i wouldnt use it. 1600 is way too "big" its just
as Wilson said, its imperactical

Senshi, who's that chick on your wallpaper? And what's with the feathers? They blocked out all the good parts.

And those boobs? They definitely aren't real. The way they perk seem to defy gravity.

Carmen Electra, the feathers are good, they hide the imperfections
leaving your imagination to make her look better than she would naked.
Thats wot I think anyway, plus its more 'tasteful'. Unfortunately the
boobs are fake, but they look way better than most boob jobs.

on resolutions: i normally have used 1152x864 but ive been using this comp here on holiday and 1600 isnt too bad it took some getting used to but now theres so much space. its starting to grow on me.

i might try out 2500x1026 (or whatever it is) to see what thats like when i get back home

1280x1024 is my max. Anything else looks retarded on a 17" monitor.

I think I switch my desktop wallpaper about once a week. I rotate
the selections, adding and removing from my collection
frequently. But at any one time, I only have twelve wallpapers to
choose from.

Call me superstitious, but I don't go over twelve because I don't like the number thirteen, and twelve just seems right.

Yeah, I know my desktop needs uncluttering, but what can I say, I'm lazy.

Oh, and that little tool in the bottom right, it's one of the best
tools to have for a laptop. It actively scans the area for Wi-Fi
and tells you, in a radar fassion. What networks are in the area, their
integrity, and whether it is locked or not. Its great, I've
already picked up about 50 Wi-Fi's in the area of a nearby housing
complex, most still in their default state. Never accessed them
though, to many trees between here and there. Got my own Wi-Fi
now. As proof with the fact I'm watching tv in my living room
with my computer in my lap. oops, I veered off topic. (The
software is called configFree, came with the computer)

And for those that say that it was at first a bump; sorry, I've been working on an editor that I'm not ready to show ya'll.
You know, I've actually got nothing to say

Going by the name of the wallpaper, a quick google search says its from a national park in Italy.
