Hey it's me :leper: Half-dude

Hey all, I've been hired by a TFC server admin to make a edited 2 fort map but I cant edit it in bsp form does anyone have a rmf version.

P.S sorry if this is a editing question I could'nt tell please dont kill me. :cry:

You dont edit the actual .rmf..You get a program that does that..Forgot the name...[and no its not winbsp..]

Don't even think about using that program (i coulda sworn it was winbspc) if you want to release a useable map. You are much better off remaking 2fort from scratch. As an added bonus you won't be breaking any copyright rules and stealing work from Valve.

it might be ripent.exe, that comes with zoners tools. you can add point entities to a map if you work out the right co-ordinates. Click here for all you need to know.

It was a tool that let you drag and drop objects, weapons, and such.

My friend text edited 2fort, which is a bit harder..

WinBSP is the decompiler. RipEnt gives you the entity data, and I think it's possible to edit entity information from a .bsp alone (some servers add their own advertising sprite etc. into main maps) But you can't edit brush architecture without an .rmf or .map so far as I know.

Ya know, theres an admin server plugin that allows you to move around brush's, and they stay until the map resets...Maybe THATS what he wants.
