My tutorial still haven't been checked, ad it have been 2 days now...

Is because of a lack of admins or are they on holidays?

Or am i just stupid and it doesn't have to be checked at all, and it's just stupid me who have set set a mark when submitting?

It will probably take some time. I took a month or two for my tutorial to be checked.

Who would have thought admins actually have lives?

Yeah, two days isn't a very long wait at all. Hold your fruggin' horses, haha. As 'ol Andrei said, I don't think tutorial submissions at the Snarkpit are the admins top priority in life.

I placed my application for an admin spot. I assume the application will take only slightly longer to be approved than your average s**t tutorial.

Lets hope that your tutorial is better received than my application.

I didn't even realize you could apply for something like that. What's the OP for that?

Yeah, i know admins have lives but it would take me about 3-5 min. to read thorugh a tutorial, or at least the one I'm talking about.

On other websites i know you have to be "fairly active" to become an admin, and that doesn't mean 5 mins per 2. month. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

I know 2 days isn't something i should expect, maybe it's just because I'm used to other websites... But 2 months?

I hate to say this but, you are assuming an awful lot. Who's to say that afterward the tut won't be denied?

Seriously though, if this is a ground breaking tutorial you can post it in the forums temporarily until such times as its approved.

Its also best to consider not comparing sites to one another. Damned few compare to this one even with the lack of active admin. Consider your position in the grand scheme known as Snarkpit.

Sorry I've been a bit lax with this lately - our internet connection
was down for a few days and at the moment I'm hurriedly working away to
get some uni courseworks in on time (stress!). I'll try and get back on
the ball come the weekend. I would be in favour of having a couple of
new admins on staff - at the moment I'm pretty much on my own and over
the next few months I've got holidays, exams and coursework, which
might stop me visiting as often as I'd like.

Here's a thought. Give Myrk a holler.

Personally, I do not want any more admin. Training them is a bitch.

So your going to give up any efforts of becoming an admin? If so thank
God for small miracles. The day you become anything more than a forum
nut I can ignore is the day I stop coming here.

There are those who do. They are laughing with me right now. Those who know, know that I have no ambitions that lofty. I have held the position before, its not all its cracked up to be.

Anyway, Mr. Smith will solve it soon. I hope.

Besides, read the structure of my original post. It was pure humor. s**t tuts are not approved silly. :heee:

I'm not going to name names as who I think should be an admin here, but
there are a lot more that I'd rather NOT have than I would like to have
as an admin.

This thread sucks.

Geeze, I'll get round to it but the auth queue has about 20 things in it that all need thouroughly checking. Don't blame me for it though, I only just got remade an admin.

Update- Authed a few tuts, done some rejecting and added some of the news.

Hey, I might be somewhat to blame, but I do my fair share  Also, I
can't accept mirror requests, so thats why there are so many of them in
the auth queue.
