Yeah, that's me, with my 3 Xbox 360's that I got this morning. Had to
wait in line at 3am for them at Wal*Mart. Still was 4th in line. (Yes I
am 15, so everyone doesn't need to tell me that).

Do you not find it a little sad that you are willing to queue at a shop at 3am in the morning to buy a console?

Seriously man, if you are gonna show off your THREE xbox 360's, at
least say why you bought so many  Planning on putting some on Ebay or
something? I must say I'm very jealous - a 360 is top of my most wanted
list at the moment

I personally hope that all your consoles break until you figure out how to post a properly sized picture.

If that sounds harsh, good, cause I meant it.

The very least you could do is have just as much fun playing them as I did waiting for that stupid picture to arrive.

I can forgive ignorance. I cannot forgive a repeat offender.

It was, but they are still all too scarce at the moment. Which is why
people are still buying them and putting them up on Ebay to make a
profit. I guess that has probably calmed down now it's after Christmas
however - not so many people willing to pay anything to get it for
their kids on time. It will probably be until March or so that it
becomes genuinely easy to pick up a 360...unless you live in Japan that
is, where you have trouble giving the things away

Lemme try, hopefully NOT in vain to explain something to you'all.

First off I am truly on 56k. No surprises there but Snarkpit for some reasons that even Lep is unsure of periodically freezes. Pages just stop loading, or do so in extraordinary slow motion. Then all of a sudden they shoot at you so fast you nearly duck in fright.

Imagine, under the best of the worse conditions the pages load in just under 1 minute. Imagine again, some inconsiderate fool uploads a page thats in excess of 200k, 250k, or worse. Imagine connecting at 3.2k and knowing this is going to take ages even if everything goes fantastically. Now imagine if I should be continuing to brandish a stick and threatening these inconsiderate people.

I can forgive an opps. I cannot understand why anyone would continue to look stupid by posting screens online over 80k.

I do not just browbeat needlessly, I do hold true that images can be more accomidating. I dare anyone to pick between these two images and tell me for certain which one I posted and which one Win98 posted. Look me straight in the monitor and tell me that my upload is substandard to his.

Silly butt. Anyone can check the links and sizes and tell. The question was rhetorical.

I know anyone can determine mine. My point was tell me you can distinguish the difference.

BTW, the 280k images were already on your system so the load time would be small.

I wish it were that simple. As much as everyone tires of me harping about images, no one seems to comprehend that they take it in stages, I deal with it continuously. My woes outnumber theirs so their tired of hearing is petty when compared.

If only it were as easy as point the way.

Thanx for appreciating the tutorial.

Considering that a 360 is less that 300 bucks in my small burg, I am finding it difficult to see selling them on Ebay as any enticement. If it were profitable, people around here would be lining up to do it.

In the Christmas rush people were selling these for upwards of ?500,
despite their ?270 price tag in the shops. There just weren't enough of
them to go around, and loads of people were taking advantage of that to
make a quick buck. I don't know if the potential to do so is still
around now that the Christmas rush is over and stocks are getting
replenished in some shops.

Guess you didn't see the auctions going for $5600USD the days around the launch.

O___O afford tires for your car.. YOU HAVE A CAR!! woah dude thas crazy..

i'm 16 and i can't even afford ... like anything.... i haven't bought anything in the past 6 months XP. not considering the series of unfortunate events dvd i got for my bro with a gift card  . it was fun ^___^. in anycase i didn't really want the 360 .. it is sporting a 20 gig harddrive it says detachable .. but with a lil work like 5 mins. the original xbox's is too the Xbox original sports a 60 gig harddrive.. screw graphics .. and computers sport far more possibilities.. soon though i may purchase the original xbox... if i do .. i'm getting linux on it XP
'Cause we all needed to see your pretty face as sharp as possible?
All the better to photo edit  XP

but seriously.. loads of people already have to deal with dialup.. why not use the low bandwidth photos for the good of humanity.. technically i could be pissed too because you're using a higher percentage of my ram .. than what is needed...

don't be a forums troll.. i think thats what its called >_< redeem yourself and just resize the pic.. i mean seriously i dont want some large amount of data going through my computer that's worthless and inefficient. especially if i decide to check the pit.. at the library just for fun.. and lets say this library has dial-up .. Thanks to you my browsing experience was just halved...

now i won't say that i've never done it.. but i will say that mostly i will catch myself OR at least redeem myself when somebody points it out.

Well I can honestly say that up to a point I was only annoyed. No more, or less annoyed than at any other time a picture was to big but, at the point of "And I'm not going to make a 56k version just for the snarkpit."

I was pissed, and I do not handle pissed very well.

Sadly, I had to shut up before I did something stupid.

No, it's something he's repeatedly done. It takes awhile for ANYONE on ANY connection to load large images. It doesn't matter how fast the download rate is if the server is busy or has a slow upload :\

It's annoying to say the least.

the original xbox's is too* the Xbox original sports a 60 gig

The original Xbox's hard drive is only detachable if you want to void
your warranty, and it's not really feasible to be taking it out and
taking it to your mates house for the evening or anything. It was also
only 8gb, and I don't think all of that was actually "active" for file
storage (some was dedicated as useable by games for caching, for
example). Yeah you could switch in a larger HDD and get it to work by
modding the console, but not everybody wants to do that and I'm sure
similar things will happen for the 360 at some point down the line for
those who do.

As for not taking the time to create a smaller-sized image, I think
everyone likes images to load fast, and you like your bandwidth to be
saved, so... yeah, take the extra 5 seconds it takes. Uploads faster
too.

Anyway, 3 XBox'es? Why so many? Are you going to set up a LAN-club or such?

Did you save up the money yourself to buy 3 of them? And how are the online auctions going?

NO! he didn't save the money himself... His parents are demi-rich and mommy and daddy buy everything for him because he is Emo and they don't want him cutting himself like he did when they ran out of lucky charms cereal and his mom wouldnt buy anymore.

One of these days Windows98... One of these days......
I tried sniffing coke, but the ice cubes kept getting stuck in my nose.

He is, and he's gotten rich by fixing cars, as we can see in his hotrod thread. The picture is starting to form...

If that sounds harsh, good, cause I meant it.
I'm saying this genuinely, without snideness or sarcasm - quotes like this are why I love Snarkpit. There are few mapping circles, or art circles in general, that are founded on the almost-tradition of its members overstepping the boundaries of tact for the sake of saying what needs to be said.
