Yeah, I remember when I used to yell how old it was followed by
c**tbag. I mean, there is absolutely no way that you're
making this up.
It's the first time I saw it. c**tbag.

The video of the truck clipping through EVERYTHING is unbelievable.
I wonder if the programmers / design team go home satisfied with their lives/job at the end of the day.

What's your point Frenchy? You always act like an asshole when someone else posts something old. Then you get all pissy when it's directed back at you.

"Yeah, that happened ages ago.
whatever"
Sound familar? Or how about...
"Seen this linked to 50 times. Still doesn't impress me."
Now maybe those aren't as harsh as what I said to you, however you've said worse crap in other threads. So don't start whining when someone else turns it around on you.

Oh joy, a viciously derailed thread and a really bad trucking game.
I'd actually say the textures aren't too bad looking -- but that's
it. The trucks are a joke, and the clipping issue absolutely blew
my mind. Theoretically, wouldn't it cost more to package out and
ship a crap game rather than to just let it die?
The only descent truck game was 18 wheeler; but the huge issue with that was that you could cross-country in about 15 minutes

the designers probably felt disgusted that they were required to make such a game and realized that most gamers wouldn't give a thought to such a horrible game idea
they probably f**ked it up on purpose
but whatever

Isn't lo mein those greasy noodles? If so I like lo mein a lot. I love a good bowl of ramen too. I think I'll make a bowl after this post. Rice is good, but it all depends on what goes with the rice.
I saw this game on some show on G4 a while back. A net loss for teh world. I could say more but it's already been said. I'd like to see the gameplay footage but I refuse to use fileplanet.
.... Curry (sp?) is good with rice. One time I went to a sushi place and had curry chicken with steamed rice as my main course and good sushi on the side. HEB makes some pretty good sushi, and it's a lot cheaper than going to a sushi place.
.... k I'll stop

Road Rash is hardly as bad as this game, even if there are poor incarnates. Also, just checking, but are you sure the poor clipping isn't because it's an emulated game? I've ran into a lot of poorly transfered games where the people transfering them didn't transfer the entire game, even if all the graphics are there. Paper Mario is an example of this.

I'm well aware of what you said and what this thread is about.
If you imply a game is "Almost as bad" as some other game, you would intuitively compare the worst features ... poor clipping is probably the worst "feature" in the game.
Repetitive environments in a limited memory system is hardly as bad. Especially when the entire point of Road Rash is to stop other bikers from competing

Actually, that "gobbledygook" is from snarkpit editing a post. (By the way, sp has always done this to me since I've been a member. It's from the dot character, it doesn't know how to handle it. In fact it's probably SQL that's having the issue. )
In addition I'm not using firefox (or IE)
By new, I mean innovation. PC games have almost none (anymore). It's "make it prettier" and that's about it.
Every game is "kill the things" type gameplay. Or level up X character.
It's the same old, run around, kill this, collect that, save them type gameplay. It's getting way too old.
The nice thing in the console realm is that specific hardware can be developed, cheaply, since the hardware the game will be running on is absolute. This allows for games like Odama and Katamari. They're incredibly bizarre games, but fun. (While, yes, you could have microphone functionality in a game, it's not really implemented in anything past basic obvious usage between players) As for Katamari, computers don't have any type of analog control. Sure, there's a mouse, but that's too free moving for the types of gameplay I'm talking about (intuitive gameplay, that is)
There are other nicely innovative games coming out (check out Lost Magic, anybody. It looks sweet) that use tablet control as well. Now, my point is basically that it's not that you can't do these things on a bloated PC machine ... it's just not done. For what reason, I'm not sure, maybe because the games that sell well for computers are the ones that they continue to dabble in: FPS, RTS, MMO. Those are really the only categories when it comes to this medium. Which is sad.
On another note, if anyone gets a chance, try a FPS or RTS on your computer using your tablet, yes it works, and it's very ... interesting.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

I should have really clarified that I meant innovation in control. Something that is completley lacking in the PC realm of gaming.
