Well, its time for Halloween again, and although we don't really celebrate it here in Australia, I thought I would take the liberality to create this thread to discuss anything related to the topic.

Also, I have something you guys may be interested in, I know I love this sort of stuff! Something that you can send round to all your friends.

Hint: You need sound, and no its not a screamer/shock thing .

Here it is.

Happy Halloween!

What is the file? Not that I don't trust you. But I have enough crap on my PC, and if I don't need it, I don't want to DL it.

But yeah Halloween is a fun time of year.. I have to go set up my Haunted house today and start getting it ready for tomorrow.

Halloween schmalloween. Sorry, but the way it is now (ignoring the pagan/celtic basis) is just a big commercial love in and far too Americanised for me - apologies to our brothers over the water. Trick or treating especially irks me, it is little more than door to door begging.

Damn Halloween. Don't even get me started on Christmas!

Personally over here (in santa cruz) it gets really scary down town. The local law enforcement is instigating triple fines Halloween night for anyone arrested for public intoxication. (we also have gang related incidents as well).

I guess what I should say... No matter who/where you are: have a safe Halloween.

Aaron_da_killa, what do you mean by saying Australia doesn't really celebrate Halloween? Surely you get kids running around in silly costumes with plastic scythes going from door to door asking "trick or treat"? Also surely Australian families carve a pumkin and have candles or something? New Zealand and Australia are just like their more populated English speaking counterparts

I agree with Gwil, it is a horribly sickening Americanised debactle of a festival. Is there one thing those greedy p*gs don't bastardise? :D

I had two kids stop by trick or treating at around 1pm, on the 14th, and we don't even celebrate halloween in Denmark. I ended up giving them just enough money to buy a single piece of bubblegum.

Not telling, that would ruin it, but it isn't anything you have to install.

Its very rare for people to trick or treat, like I've never seen it done ever around here, only one time I over heard somebody trying to organize a bunch of friends to trick or treat. We don't carve pumpkins either.

Well in Blightly we don't celebrate it as such. But in Australia don't you get Halloween stuff in the shops?

Lol silly me I went through that file, speakers were turned up too...... Oh and yeah as another Australian.. it's true we don't celebrate halloween. For the 6 years I've spent in Australia, this year was the first time a group of kids came to my door and said Trick or treat.... I looked at them and said "I don't know what that is.. sorry"

Two minutes later I felt really bad and wanted to chase them down the street with candy. :D
