His name is monqui
We are very close
He is quite hunky
He makes good toast

He made an avatar for me
But it was rejected
He climbed up a tree
Feeling dejected

Please come down
I fear you will fall
The trees are so big
Your brain is so small

Monqui I'm sorry
I think you're a saint
But you're f**king retarded
when it comes to mspaint.

old Leperous, cassius, and an old monqui too...
snarkpitters all, the whole year through...
orpheus, cash, with a little bit of Brass :heee:
and lest we forget some fella named vash...

we have Kungfusquirrels, yak fighters, and Korn by the ton...
youve created a monster, o' Leperous one...
takes only a moment to raise such a clatter,
as i sit here and laugh, and get that much fatter..

Crono's and forceflows and other such names,
a close eye on A_S, yer daughters arent safe...
choose your words wisely, or go down in flames,
as the god of boulders is watching each day...

theres so many players, its hard not to stop,
gaming the time away till their eyeballs do pop...

to all the good folks ive seemed to left out...
quit yer f**kin' whining, and go have a stout...

***salute the irreplacable snarkpit...

Beautiful Snarkpit
How nice thee are
You taught me to map

You never gave up
Through the bad and the good
You were always there
And it helped me REAL good

Without your guidence
I would still be
Making such maps
As ICEWORLD..X3

What Im trying to say
In these words of mine
Snarkpit I love you
Stay here for a long time.

Oh, I'm sorry. You must not understand what a 'joke' is. A joke by definition (from www.dictionary.com) is:
  • Something said or done to evoke laughter or amusement, especially an amusing story with a punch line
  • A mischievous trick; a prank.
  • An amusing or ludicrous incident or situation.
  • Something not to be taken seriously; a triviality
So, a joke is a statement made in jest and not meant to be taken seriously or as an insult. However, a joke can be taken as offensive by the tone of voice taken or by the cutting nature of the joke. This is particularly problematic on an internet forum, where the only means of communication is text, where the facial expressions, tone, and attitude of the speaker cannot be shown or explained.

Some smart person in the beginning of the internet realized this and devised something we now refer to as 'smilies'. A smiley allows for the emotion (hence the name 'emoticon') of the speaker to be shown. Now, if a speaker is laughing, he can use  , if he's rolling his eyes he can use  , if he is replying in a sad manner  , etc. This is meant to cut down on misunderstandings. A useful tool, is it not?

So, let us analyze the earlier statement:
Why don't you two get a room

We have here a statement that would be intended as an insult by someone in GRADE SCHOOL, while the rest of the world would realize that this statement is a joke, poking a little fun at the targets. A gentle ribbing, if you will. To further drive home the point of HEY DUMBASSES! IT'S A JOKE, DONT GET YOUR PANTIES IN A BUNCH! the  was included. Again, a smilie that is sticking its tongue out at you, the reader, could only be seen as an insult to someone who is maybe 5 years old. The rest of the world would understand that its a joke, part of a slight razzing of the individuals. So, we have a statement that cannot reasonably be taken seriously as an insult by any adult or teenager and the proper emoticons to display that intent.

Now, let me show you how I feel about reading your reactions and replys and having to explain such a simple little joke:  For the love of all that is good and pure, what the hell is wrong with you people? What's next? Would you be offended if I called you a 'stupidhead', the ultimate Kindergarden insult? Even when it is obviously in jest and there cannot possibly be any misunderstanding to that? How anyone could be offended or even angry with what I said is beyond me. It wasn't a f**king flame, it wasn't an open statement of my hatred of both of you, it wasn't me accusing either of you of being gay. What. The. F**k.

i dunno where i have been, but the tension seems a bit high.

i have read every thread i can find, and have found no reasons for it....

the issue seems to have resolved itself, for which i am most happy, but the fact remains, it shouldn't have escalated in the first place.

Yeah... I originally was all like "It will be teh homonym for teh munkey," but then it evolved more into the "weird name that no one knew how to pronounce." It's been a running joke amongst my friends to intentionally mispronounce it, so it's all good. The amazing thing is that I've never seen any one else with the name (except for some weird music promotion org.)

Crack? For forum users? I thought I had the single operation on that old wheeze...

Anyhoo,

There was a poster named Monqui,
Who liked to wake and dine at 3,
What of course was never understood,
Was why he feasted on fine gravied wood,
Because everybody else enjoyed tea!
