Just rose from the dead to say hi, hey, how's it going? Been tempted to bust out a source map some day soon. I don't recognize a lot of the names on the board anymore, but I'm sure there are a few oldies out there.

Hey, it's going good.

You probably don't know me but I do recognize your name from a couple of years or so ago. There are indeed a few of the older members lurking around plus some that come in every so often to say hi (like yourself).

If your feeling tempted to do some level design you should defiantly enter the mapping competition Riven is trying to get started, hopefully we can get it started this weekend because I can't wait to start plus, exams are approaching. It should be fun. Check out the community news on the front page for details.

Exams ey? Are you in high school, or is this university exams? Our exams are fast approaching too, but first we get a couple of weeks off.

I'm an oldie that's around.. I don't visit on a daily basis but I'm definitely to be seen around.

HSC exams. 8-)

I don't know if you have those in Victoria but they're the final high school exams for year 12.

Yep, yours is called High School Certificate(HSC), while ours is called Victorian Certificate of Education(VCE). I'm also at the final stages of it, just a couple of weeks left after the holidays, and then exams, and voila! University life!

Well, my 4 preferences are(everyone else had 12, but I didn't feel the need):

1. Biomedicine at The University of Melbourne
2. Biomedical Science at Deakin University
3. Biomedical Science at Monash University
4. Medicine/Surgery at Monash University

I absolutely love biology and is within my favourite subjects. I do however plan on continuing with Medicine/Surgery after I've completed one of the biomedicine courses, as Medicine/Surgery is very difficult to get in at undergraduate level, and biomedical studies are a clear pathway into medicine.

Eventually I plan on either doing surgery, or biomedical research.. whichever one strikes me as the better option.

How about you(this might be going into a personal discussion LOL we should maybe move it to personal messages)?

I'd really love to get into game development, but there's a few issues with that, one being that you (Melbourne) house the majority of game studios and I'm not too keen on the idea of leaving Sydney/NSW. :uncertain:

As for you, good on you man, sounds like you've got it sorted out. :)

Haha, oh boy... those were the days. I'm sure if we checked back far enough we probably discovered the meaning of life somewhere in the forum archives.

I recognize all but maybe two people who responded... and yes I remember you aaron, you were but a wee sprout on here near the end of my regular Pit days.

By the sounds of it a few oldies popped in to say hi, I feel honoured. It's nice to see at least proof that you're still alive!

I would have expected no less than for such a benign topic to derail into a ridiculously detailed debate over ANYTHING.

PS In order to slightly re-rail the topic about education... I'm currently applying to go to Uni to get a BSc in Earth and Ocean Sciences and most likely get my registration as a Professional Geoscientist in my province here.

PPS How can I change my 'featured map'... my worst one is there and I can't seem to change it.

As for the Prez, Bush got into my pocket the first week he took office. So far, Obama has left my wallet alone.

As to his color? Who gives a rats ass. He will succeed or fail, color be damned. However, I am about tired of hearing about "His black ass screwing this or that up." No one said a god damned thing about the "stupid white boy" fucking the dog..

My opinion for what its worth, Bush fucked the little people badly. Obama is fucking the rich. Tis about time. The only reason we are hearing it more, or louder now is because the rich whine louder. Poor people are used to getting screwed and deal better with having been done so.

The best things in life, aren't things.

I'm tinkering with Source right now, probably going to "port" one of my old maps... I'm taking a few of the buildings in essence and re-imagining the landscape in a greater detail. Already removed the old land brushwork and have been re-arranging the buildings before I start reconstruction.

My opinion is all medical should be either free or at least capped so that doctors don't move toward where the money is. I also believe that there is plenty of money to go around, what we need is someone to direct, or prioritize it better. I mean seriously, if we can drop millions of dollars in bombs without blinking, why cant we drop medical by millions as well? The drug monopoly has also in dire need of a revamping. Whats the deal with killing so many old folks by having prices they will never afford?
