What are your favorite game soundtracks?

These are probably mine:

Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy Halo 3 - One Final Effort Gothic 2 - The Night Of Raven - Ending Credits Theme Gothic 2 - The Night Of Raven - Ending Credits Theme (A different one) Please let me know if you noticed anything in those Gothic 2 soundtracks.

Anyways what do you think of these soundtracks? I was in a hurry so I couldn't really think about some more, but these are ok to me.

Yeah I've always loved the Halo soundtracks as well, some of the tracks in them (that one included) are really rousing and set the mood perfectly.

My personal favourite soundtrack is from Jet Set Radio Future, which is unlike any soundtrack you'll hear in any other game ever. Totally perfect for the game, but wouldn't fit in much else! This track is called "Funky Dealer" and is one of my favourites. They seem to have accompanied it to footage of all the playable characters' intro dances...well, it beats a blank screen I guess!

All of Castlevania series, specially Symphony of the Night.
Although I haven't played the PS2 releases yet. They say they're great too.

The album Perfect Selection: Dracula NEW CLASSIC is beautiful, but it's not soundtrack.

I LOVE the Halo music also, I have a playlist on my ipod just for Halo music.

And I remember that song from Jet Set Radio Future, that was such a cool game, I don't have it anymore.

Yeah I know it. I own a copy actually, but I didn't play all that much of it. I watched my old flatmate play through most of it though and it seemed interesting, if a little flawed. Very much looking forward to Heavy Rain though, their follow up (though unrelated in terms of story). Looks like one of the most interesting games on the horizon if you ask me, which is unfortunate as it means I'll need to buy a PS3 to play it

wow, just found these ones. It's made by the same person who made the soundtracks for the gothic series (the ones on the OP). Basically it's made by the same person since Risen (not Riven, lol) is made by the same creators as the gothic series. EDIT: Just edited the first video to a different video link since this one has a better quality. The part starting from 1:58 is really nice on that one.

The music in the Half-Life games always set the desired mood and was fantastic. It didn't have any one distinct soundtrack, but was fantastic. One distinct soundtrack that I do remember and which I've listened to time and time again, is Tristram, from Diablo, my second favourite game series (after HL of course :))

It really sets the mood for the game. Very old game one of the first I ever played too. Love it.

The TombRaider music is always intense, definitely love that. But for good listening outside of the game environment or context, the Trine music wins it for me definitely. Talk about epic with that last one you posted Nib. That one I actually listened to a couple of times. Kind of reminds me of the Shire music from LOTR (I bought the album for that ).

Glad you liked it, the last one is amazing indeed.
I might make a Trine gameplay video sometime to show you what its like.

Also, I've noticed something really odd with the second sountrack I posted there of Trine. If you listened to it, don't you recognize something in this bleach soundtrack? Does someone have an explanation for this??

Remember when I said to listen to two soundtracks cause they had the same piece of music within them? Well, if that's not weird enough, I found out that it's the same story with Halo ODST.

Just listen to them and you know what I mean:

Bleach - Anguish (At the beginning) Trine - Heartland Mines (0:30) Halo 3: ODST - Asphalt and Ablution (2:07)

Since I've been making progress in the indie game Trine 2, I thought I should post some of those soundtracks as well, just like I did with the first game. So far they're just as magical and amazing as the first game! (Especially this one is epic)

I will update this post once I made some more progress within the game and found some new soundtracks worth posting.
