I'm curious as to the demographics of the site. I have a feel for it by how people talk, but I'm curious to know how correct I am. Please be honest in your replys.
What demographic group do you fit in?

I know there won't be many orph, but I wanted to cover all the bases. I'm operating under the assumption that most us are Uni students, but I'm prepared to be suprised

Bah, everybody knows you are are alot older than most of us. to the best of my knowledge nobody cares. you are who you are regaurdless of age.
For me at least, the only effect knowledge of your seniority causes is more serious consideration of your opinions as I know they are derrived from much longer experience than my own.
edit oops! I guess it shoud be "Retirement" I can't change it now though.

I'm not entirely sure how the American education system works, but I'm guessing these are roughly the same:
Elementary School = Primary School (3 - 11/13)
High School = Secondary School (11/13 - 18)
College = University
Correct? Just making sure I voted correctly!

Pretty good poll TB, but as KoRn has pointed out it could be improved. You are conflating two different questions:
1. How old are you?
2. What is your main occupation?

Hmm, I was at something over 2000 snarkmarks for a while. I could swear no-one's rated me or any of my stuff since then.
Maybe there's an occasional cull, or Lep. takes some off when he thinks you're being an arse :heee:

The Snarkmarks don't bother me - set them to 0 if you like  - I just find it curious that they could change without any apparent cause.
thinks
Perhaps the best explanation is "the ineffability of Leperous". That's right - he just can't be F'ed to sort it out :heee:

Actually, if you followed the UK state education system to the letter it should be..
Nursery: 4-5, leave when 5 years old (sometimes 4)
"Reception" classes: 5-6
Primary: 6-11
Secondary: 11-16
thats roughly, and also it doesnt take into account peoples birth placement in the school year boundaries..

with all those polls, the snarkpit is starting to look like a science magazine... i should probably post a poll to see "who thinks polls will make the snarkpit look too serious for a mapping site"
