I'm making an "index alpha" sprite. These sprites use the order of the palette for transparency.
Does anyone know of a program that can change the colours of multiple palette entries at once? I can use Paint Shop Pro to edit the palette but there's a LOT of white to change into black. Also something that can transform the palette - ie. change the order in which the palette colours appear - would be useful.
In PSP you can display the palette in order of luminance, but that doesn't actually change the palette at all

eeek. I have never really used this feature, but in Photoshop 7, I know you can record actions and turn it into a function, for doing mass repetitious actions.

Hmmm come to think of it, this could be a moot issue anyway. I've been stupid again

i doubt anyone will argue with you on that one gollum
im not sure, but i would also suggest using PS7's action function, helps wonders with repeating things done in PS.
if you need any help creating an action, let meh know.

Hmm, yes, in Photoshop 7 you can convert the image to Indexed Colour and edit the palette directly. Are you sure there's no other way of displaying the palette in PSP?

Once a thread gets abandoned, I gotta choose something as a solution. That's all I really do around here anyway - set answers for the forgotten threads. No one seemed to post anything nearing an answer, so I choose Gollum calling himself stupid. I figured it fit.
