Can you name 5 CD's (I think its actually 3 on the radio show but who cares) you'd have to have for being lost on a desert island?
Heres mine (after much thought):
1. Boards Of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children
2. Radiohead - Kid A
3. Rephlex Records - The Braindance Coincidence
4. VNV Nation - Futureperfect
5. DJ Shadow - The Private Press
Actually, thats probably wrong or ill change my mind, but its a rough idea  So, what music would you need to survive?!

My first three CD's would be music. I'd bring
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Soundgarden - Down on the Upside
Pearl Jam - Ten
My fourth CD would be a self-help CD teaching me how to fish with bare hands, build fires and things like that.
The fifth CD would be very large and inflatable.

311 - Grassroots
311 are one of my all time favourite bands without a doubt, and picking one CD from their collection is a very tough call, but I reckon this one would probably claim the space. I'd consider taking others, but with only 5 CDs to spare I guess I should vary.
The Anniversary - Designing a Nervous Breakdown
I'll be honest, I don't yet own this CD as I ordered it in a shop some months ago and they still haven't got it! I've heard 5 tracks from it though, and they are all amazing, so its gotta be with me.
Big D And The Kids Table - The Gipsy Hill EP
One of the coolest ska/punk bands I know of - not only do they play great music but I met a couple of them and they were really nice guys. Some classic tunes on this, and thankfully its 10 tracks make it a little better than just an EP.
Rx Bandits - Resignation
Overall I may well prefer their last album "Progress", but my favourite bandits tracks are found on this CD, so its coming with me.
Reel Big Fish - Why Do They Rock So Hard
I'd have to take this one as it is such a mood lifter. Whenever you hear "Somebody Hates Me" cracking in at the start, you can't help but pull a smile, and it doesn't let it go until the very end.

Reel Big Fish are just loads of fun to begin with. I just love the many Scott jokes throughout their first two albums. Great stuff there.
And I've only got one track by the RX Bandits, VCG3. Might have to look into getting more.

I do love a bit of RBF, they are always a good laugh live. 311 I've been into for a long long time Adam, I got a copy of the new album off a mate as he appears to have bought the only copy in Scotland, some of its really good, in particular "Crack the code" and "Other Side of Things" IMO.

Tis a really good album, maybe a little more mellow than usual but all the better for it  It's been out in America for a few months now but still no sign of it over here - not even a review in Kerrang (though they will slate it anyway...they have no taste).
RBF's cover of Take On Me is pure class too

All these people are listing games (and with the expansion packs no less!) And I think some of you are forgetting the fact that this said 5 CD's and not 5 games. In other words, HL + OpFor would be TWO CD's, not just one, Total Annihilation which someone mentioned requires TWO CD's for install, and so on and so forth. Please be reasonable with your answers people, like I was.
