I was wondering whether Valve or anyone else will be remaking train?

I was thinking about giving it a go meself but I can't see any point in creating a map when a better one will be released soon anyway.

Also if I do give it a go... do you think I should keep to the same kind of layout or make it a bit more train yard like?

Id love to see de_train but I dont think itll get made. Adam Atomic is a really cool dude though and hes making a remake of it for source: http://www.ghostopsmod.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2858 Looks good so far I suppose.

Ow right, so someone is remaking it for source. I won't bother then.

I just played a train remake... it was crap. The game play was
destroyed becuase the mapper added some useless tunnles. there
were no cube maps and the scale was horrible.

speaking of CS:S remakes I dont like most of the remakes out
there. My main beef is with remakes of cs_assault. I see
all these servers running assault_lith, a map that obivously was never
tested before it was released. It pains me to see 15 servers
running that map while no one playes zt_assualt. which was one of
the best amature remakes I've seen.

sigh

I'm working on one, but is more of a size test map.

I think that people find it really really hard to make good
layouts. Then again alot of remakes tend to add useless paths or
change the scale so much that the flow is messed up. People dont
seem to understand that these maps have been made with timeing in
mind. fy_maps are the staple of CS mappers lazyness.

I have seen ever so much random flaming = P, habboi then css ;P. If you
dont like something , Dont just say you dont like it for that is
pointless. If you give reason behind your opinion it has point.
If you flame me for posting this , Please give reasons ;P.

Parakeet, 2dmin said that. Also, that doesn't make sense, since he's in a clan ...

Could be one of the millions of "CSers" who're are complaining that CS:S is "completley changed".

Some people share the opinion that CS:S isn't very good.

and some people's opinions are wrong.

<br style="color: lightblue;">
just two unrelated statments.
