I especially like the border there above the pillars.

The top-part of the roof is most interesting to me. It's curvy and stuff.

Hmm... for some reason the first two photos remind me a lot of the Nightclub you can acquire in Grand Theft Auto 3: Vice City, on the corner... Not sure why

Funny looking place, that. Very rare to find a combination of arches/domes and sloped roofs. Usually, the climate of an area lends itself to either one style, but not both.
"looks very indian, Very odd, Pretty cool nonetheless"
Heh, domes and arches are actually Mughal/Pharsi architecture. They were brought over to India by the early invasions. Actual Indian architecture is usually less "curvy" and more inclined to be tall and decorative. You typically find stacks of stone slabs reaching up to a pyramid-ish shape. Very rarely do domes figure in our old writings or art or whatever.

That's one freaky building. Kinda reminds me of the buildings you tend to find on the seafront near piers in the UK - i'm pretty sure i've seen something similar in Southport with a crappy amusement arcade inside it

It reminds me of an old abandoned petrol station at this little farming place called "Fenton Barns" near where I live, although the roof on this building is far more interesting.
On a related note to this, I've started shoving photos up around the walls in my room, just of crappy buildings or anything which can be used for reference. Every time I travel between Dundee and Edinburgh I see loads of cool buildings off the side of the train, sometime I'm gonna stop off at each place and take photos of them. When I do so I'll scan them in and post them, some of them look really inspiring, particularly for HL2 mapping.

Looks like it could make a good map if left in the right hands. I agree, it looks very much like a seafront amusement we have down here near the cost. It also looks like one of those crappy hang outs you see in those low budget teen movies. shudders
