This may be the humdinger of all dummy questions, but can someone tell me how to alphabetize the list in the "Start>All Programs" menu in WinXP?

it drives me nuts to look in that list for say "Valve" only to not see it at the bottom in the "V" area.. since HL2 was one of my first installs its close to the top.

mucho appreciated guys.

Right-click in the list, and select "Sort by name"

cool beaners, did the trick.

next stupid question.

look at this page for reference. this is my microprocessor. it supposed to run at a FSB of 1600.

look at this page. it is my motherboard, it supposed to be capable of 2000 FSB.
how would someone check to know for sure that the FSB is running, or setup correctly? or are these new motherboards "auto detect" and do it themselves?

Bios. BUT, how fast is your ram? It probably has to be manually clocked to the proper speed to 'sync-up'.

PC3200 bud.

this board has some sort of auto-overclock feature that sets the RAM and stuff.. my video card for instance, always runs at a default 3% overclock.
it also has some sort of a quiet cool system that softens the fans noise somehow.

I looked up the chipset here: http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/chipsets/k8-series/k8t800pro/

and basically, the bus can be clocked to 1066 Mb/s and/or 2000 Mt/s (I don't know how it'll show up in your BIOS because those are two seperate chips on the board).

Your ram should be clocked at 400Mhz (that's the speed of DDR3200).

You can leave the CPU on auto. Or leave that auto-overclock thing on.

Next dumb question:

Does dual channel 3200 DDR run at 200x2 mhz or a solid 400?

whenever i check the frequency, it clearly says "200" but nothing more.

and i found out that my processor is a "New Castle" 3500+ and runs at 11x200mhz or 2200mhz.. thanx crono.

AFAIK the output is 400 but somewhere down the line it does something to make it that from 200.

2 channels running at 200Mhz a piece = 400 Mhz (meaning clock it at 400 in bios and leave it at that)

You found the "clock up" for the CPU, good. Did you find the bus speeds too?

Next stupid question:

How does one disable "auto switch" on their weapons in HL2DM?

I get so tired of the game switching me away from my favored weapon because it thinks its better.

keyboard -> advanced, I forget), but I couldn't tell you with any
degree of certainty.

Orph is right. Orph, as far as i'm aware there isn't an option. It's only caught me out once so far, where I went for a "right click" shotgun killer blow on dm_lockdown, nay, I had ran onto a crossbow and zoomed at point blank range.

Seconds later I was dead - went to find the option, without much luck

Myrk fast weapon switching is where you scroll through your weapons without having to click to switch.

A product named "Deep Heat". Stinks of some wierd hospital stuff, but it makes your skin go warm and soothes your muscles. Quite commonly used by Rugby players when they pull muscles etc. Go get some, I need to for my drumming and gym. Its in a red tube or aerosole I think now, with flames on it and stuff.

Is it also called heat spray? Because I remember my friend did he
shoulder in a judo training once and he had this really stinky stuff
put on.

Lol, poor Orph  Your just like this guy on my course, who coincidently looks just like you!

I'm sure if you edit the config.cfg file theres something there to stop it. Don't see why it should be a problem though, theres only like 4 weapons in HL2DM anyway!

Orph, you could just keep the "last weapon" button close and hit it when you get a new weapon ... if you can't find a command or option.
