Lol, BARNEY? Barney of HL2 was hardly any leader  . And yeah, the blue and red text tingles my spidey sense.

ReNo said it very eloquently in a previous thread. [that should probably be stickied somewhere]
ReNo said:
I think one of the key problems is that as you aren't a community member, people don't know if going on your word alone (and that is all you have at the moment, I'm afraid) about this mod is enough. If, for example, Adam Hawkin's said he was starting a mod, then people would be interested (most likely regardless of the theme) simply because he is a long time member here and people know he has the skills and dedication to turn it into something good. With an outside member such as yourself though, we don't know of you or any of your work, so without media to show for your mod there isn't much chance of people joining up. I guess if you stick around and participate in the community, your chances of picking people up in the future will probably be better. If you are a mapper, throw some of your work up in your user profile (including screenshots), write some tutorials, comment on other people's work, post in the forum discussions, help out people's editing problems, and so on. I personally think getting known is the most important thing in getting together a mod team.

Yeah, I fell into that one. First of all, make yourself a NAME in the
gaming world, for instance, if 3dgameman would say he started to make a
MOD, probably couple hundred people would voluenteer in first week
ALONE (and I mean good ones).

Or - give us a proper web page and a lot of Media, to show that this
MOD is getting somewhere and won't be thrown away by any means. For
instance, take

www.nightfallmod.net

This mod HAS future. Whereas... well, I don't want to make anything
down but you look like you need a whole team. Perhaps you should
persuade your relatives and friends to join up first...

But the idea itself sounds good...

edit: oh, and the pictures in your post are broken

Sorry if people don't know me well, but I need people to help me out. If you want me to I will post a tutorial on how to do some stuff. Mayby I will join your mod, but last time I attempted to join a mod, they never replied to my e-mail. If you want, I can do some maps for your mod, just to show people I am a nice member of the community.

Just e-mail me if you want me to help you. I will send you an example map.

Oh and yeah, I have just realised my pictures are broken, any help please?

www.head-humped.co.uk is always looking for mappers.

I am afraid that Nightfallmod has enough mappers as it is. Kremator's
told me that IF, then I'll be the last one they'll accept  . They have
already like 4 or 5 but yes, Head-Humped is a worthy mod aswell and you
should try to be a part of a mod dev team for a while before becoming
to a mod creator.

As I said... the idea itself is cool, but you have nothing to show people to join up.

First of all, create a compentent web page

Well that sucks, you beat me to it...

Nightfall hasn't answered my e-mails. At least they could send a
"I'm sorry, but we can't take any new mappers in at the
moment." Grrr....

Well, I told already that they don't need any more... if you can offer
urself as a modeller or texturer or coder or such then I guess you'll
be more than welcome.

But, Head-Humped, as I also mentioned, always accepts great mappers
