If they actually get a release candidate to Vivendi on the 15th like they said they would then t'll probably be released late September. Either way it's close, and that's good enough for me.

Hm I think I can get RCON on the 2 servers of my primary cs-team located in germany. -- But maybe the enemy team is owning a server, too.

My brother in law runs a DoD clan with three servers. I'm sure they'd be happy to play us, although I think we might get annihilated.

I think the first thing the team would need to do before looking for servers would be to first:
Select what game you will be playing (Although Im assuming Counter-Strike)
Second, each player has their own skills in certain areas, take advantage of that.
IE: Im a good sniper with with the Scout or the M4, so, obviously those are the weapons I will buy. But if I dont have the money and my Snarkpit Team member has 16 000$, then it would be nice of him to buy me a M4 so I can be more effective in combat, thus helping the team. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
As well, if we all know our specialties, its easier to devide into groups and plan assaults and stuff. As well, praticing together, things such as flashing a room and going in, effective use of your sidearm. How to clear a room. When and when not to run. Never to use the flashlight, use NVG instead.
Like I said, this is assuming its CS.
[edit]
A team always fares better too if they can talk. No one likes to type anyways, unless your dead. Then you type.

I think we should have a look on Counter-Strike first.
I only need Glock/USP and AK/M4.

Im an M4 user myself. Most often thats what I use. I tend to stay away from the AWP because people seem to think its an unfair weapon so if I do need a sniper I use the Scout. Thats if I can find a perch to snipe from, if not, the M4 is my sniping weapon. Close combat I stick with the M4 if I can afford it if not its the MP5.
As for sidearm, the USP is what I use. I dislike the AK very much though. I use the Styr Aug too if Im sniping and a Scout is impractical but a M4 isnt long ranged enough.

I figured we'd play whatever game type we decide on at the time. Be sort of an all-around team.
For CS I like:
AK, M4, steyr, and Sig
For DoD I like: SMGs, K98, M1-Grand & Carbine, and BAR.

Personally for primary weapons I use either an MP5, M4A1, or the Sig Commando; and for secondary its either the USP or the FiveSeven, give me range and accuracy over brute force any day. Though I am quite partial to a bit of 'shotgun to the head' action.
A word of warning though, my participation hangs on whether I'm able to get broadband where I live (the phone lines are being tested). At this point I'm going to be extremely optimistic and say I'm in, but that may change.

I must say I'm pretty OK with pistols / SMG's. I usually find myself in
a sucky team, so most of the time, that's all I can afford without
taking an eco round.
MP5 / Desert Eagle, baby.
