i know that, but you need to recognize at what point it all becomes conjecture..

look crono, we are sliding off topic..

you said, since i don't trust your opinion of movies, then i must not trust your opinions.. which is not true at all..

there is a marginal chance that you know more about politics than movies, in which case, your opinion might hold more water.. but you should not say that because i disagree with you on what constitutes a good flick, that i will always disagree..

same holds true about many things.. just because someone thinks i am full of s**t, by no means signifies that they are knowledgeable enough to access that determination of me.. for all they know, i may actually know what i am talking about, they just are not privy to such information as of yet

besides, you are attempting to get me to decide if kerry or bush is the better choice, when i keep telling you that i would rather gouge out my eyes than choose one :9

All American presidents in the past have been the ones with the biggest hair. Washington, Roosevelt, Kennedy, Bush Sr, er, everyone else... even the bald dude was up against another bald guy. Ergo, Kerry will win.

Lincon and JFK? BTW, is it Lincon or Lincoln? I've seen both names refering to the same president.

Oh my God ... did you miss the words "For Example"?

I'm not trying to make you choose anyone. I asked if you honestly based your opinion of the canidated on other people's opinions ... stop twisting it.

All this required was you reading what I said, not jumping to conclusions by skipping words.

Try re-reading what I originally said and see if that makes sense. If you don't want to answer, that's fine, but don't drag it out into this bulls**t by taking certain things I say literally when I use the phrase "for example".

i thought i answered you already, what confused me was when you said i failed to answer.. i thought maybe.. you asked a new question.

i said, i make my decisions on what i see, if that answer wasn't good enough, asking again or differently is NOT an option

No, No Lep, it's not the hair; it's all about height. It's a statistical fact that the taller candidate has a significant advantage... hence: Kerry=Winner. The same holds true in many areas of life. I once heard that "tall" men earn on average ~ 3% more than "short" men. I don't remember how they defined those categories though. This is the same psychological effect that causes women to earn less than men on average. Being physically impressive is subtly important. (Hurray for my 6'4"!!)

I think that the jump in the pools that Kerry got from the debates was entierly because that was the first time people were able to see that he is a full head taller than Bush.

Marx and Lenin were only facially hairy, they were mostly bald on the
top of their heads. As for Josef Engels, I believe he wound up dead and
unknown until the Communist manifesto came to the fore in 20th century
politics  Unsurprisingly, he was considered by most to be the runner
boy and spell checker for Marx.

Plenty of Latham's (the opposition's) policies are full of holes. $700m holes (please remember that in Aus, budgets are measured in mere billions). On top of that, I have a personal preference for the education and health policies under Howard, mainly because they tend to benefit me.</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
Well I agree with you in most area's there SumhObo, but when it comes to the bit about education policies and economic management I'd have to disagree. That $700m dollar black hole you talk about, the one that Costello found, has since been proven non existent.

If you agree with Howards policies on education, the must be something wrong with you, either that or you are incredibly rich and actually go to the wealthy private schools that benefit from it. I'm at uni, and Howards policy of increasing places by 30% and allowing uni's to choose the fees is rediculous. Most classes at uni are already too big for the resources available, and the fee policy would mean that popular courses could cost a student up to $100,000. It's absolutely stupid.
Sorry to dig up the dead, but I haven't been able to visit this forum for a while.

First, my school. It's not so much that my school would benefit from Howard's policies - it's that it would be DISbenefited by Latham's. Yes, my school is private, but it's also NON-PROFIT. And no, we don't have a swimming pool, though the school has a debt-free spending policy (they refuse to take out any loan for more than 3 years).

Yes, the Uni thing is another point I agree with you on... good thing I'm not voting, guess I should've thought about it. Pity that Latham didn't make any sort of deal out of it. I'm gonna be at Uni in 2 years time, so I guess that probably would've turned my vote if Latham bothered to advertise any differences. Assuming they would allow me to vote, of course.

The $700m hole? Oh, no, you're quite correct, the hole in the tax policy was found to be nonexistent. Is it just coincidence, then, that a $700m hole was found in the Medicare Gold policy on the same day the tax policy was cleared?

Hmm... maybe you're right... BUT! He was in that photo-op of a tank, wearing a helmet (which covered his hair), which made him look like a twat and hence he lost the election. If he didn't wear the helmet, quite clearly he would have won.

In fact, if Kerry doesn't pull a similar hat-related stunt and still doesn't win, I will grow my hair so thick and lush that the ladies will not be able to help swooning at my apparent afrotastic virulence, and challenge Bush myself if Schwarzenegger manages to change the constitution to allow for foreign presidents.
