This will probably be regarded as me just being mean, but why would I add someone who has posted here 8 times (I checked) has no maps listed and I otherwise do not know whatsoever? I added KoRnFlakes to my list sometime back, I know who he is somewhat through the site. But I don't know you whatsoever. The idea isn't "He With the Most Steam Friends Wins." In fact, I'd go so far as to say, all in all, that person loses.

i would suggest backing up everything. wads, maps, anything with your HL and other mod folders, just to be safe cause steam changes the dir structure.

I'd rather die than submit to those greedy corporate dollar grabbing whores at Valve who envisioned Steam, TBH.

i installed steam, added contacts, added ip to bewbies server, and joined game, no conflicts, no issues.. i did however backup all maps, rmf's ,bsp's ,wads , sprites, and sounds so i could use them in my reviews and critiques..
my only issue is setting up my jump bind again, my custom squatt/jump no longer works
anyone know how to do in steam?

I'm not a multiplayer-person anyway. 56k modem on pay-as-you-go sort of thing. Not using steam either, as I've heard all the horror stories of losing files etc.
Judging by Orph's pic and my background (HL2), it appears either Freeman's head has got biger or his shoulders smaller

You forget so easily that this website itself exists because of those same 'dollar-grabbing whores' who made Steam. In fact, your statement begs the question, and correct me if I'm wrong because I don't really know, but at what point has ANYONE had to pay a dime for Steam? What proof exists that we ever will?

i am a wait and see sort, i didn't complain about HL2 being late, till it was, i didn't complain about the theft, till after i heard about it  , and i won't complain about steam till it goes astray, so far, steam only reminds me of a fancy mix between "ICQ and GAMESPY" i see little wrong so far... i am sure issues exist, but till i have one, i will refrain...

Same here Orph. As I installed it I had loads of warnings that it would crash and ruin everything but I don't think it crashed on me once yet. The only small problem I had was easily fixed with the help of Mr Flakes
