My case

Lambda!! I was bored and so on, it was done in about an hour. Sorry for such lousy pics, all I have available right now is a useless webcam!





Im now figuring about a second step in the "HOW TO MAEK UR DULL CAES LUK LEIK A GOOD CSAE?"-series. Anyone got some suggestions? I think diods etc will have to be step 3 because Im sorta short of cash atm.

Painting it orange may added to the effect. I like it though, but the white doesn't give it the justice the logo deserves.

Also, maybe a chibi gordon at the bottom.

The HL2 case that was featured on Verc a few months ago is only about 1,000,000,000,000 times cooler than yours. If you want a cool case for what would be considered a cheap gaming case you should try those XBlade cases.

Haha! That dude must have spent at least 100 hours on his case. I just did this for a bit of fun and Im never gonna buy an already spiced up case! How silly is that? Is there a point? Now if youre only gonna be rude Spartan, you might aswell just be rude to your parents.

I think its a pretty nice idea actually, but you can do better. As a
suggestion for improvement (that would require starting again)...

Spray a good portion of your case side (a big enough area to put your
lambda sign) in the colour you want the lambda, perhaps orange or
something. Now cut a lambda shape out of some paper and affix it to
where you want your lambda to be on your case. Spraypaint over and
around this in the colour you want your case side to be - might be cool
in white or black? You'd now have an orange lambda sign on a
black/white case side, with little more effort than you have gone through.

Thats a nice idea Reno, come to think of it a black case with a orange sign would be delicious. I will see about it.

Just realised that it might be easier to just cut out a lambda sign as
a template, spray the entire side of your case your background colour,
then place on the template and spray your chosen lambda colour over the
hole.

My brother in law had the picture below laser etched onto his glass case window. f**king crazy think to spend money on if you ask me. It is pretty cool looking though.

Lol, maybe my numbers were a little off but you'd have to agree.

Somehow, I prefer small case mods like this one to the humongous over-detailed stuff.

Looking pretty good aze. Simple customization rules.

Did you mspaint that goodness from memory?; the picture quality is quite the suck.

nice, az. I'll tell you what, My hobby (besides mapping) is restoring old musclecars. When we are painting we do our base coat (HL orange) then we tape EVERYthing off exept what we want to put on as a graphic (flames, stripes etc.) then we paint our darker color over that.

I do believe some of you were aware of my mods. Although they werent really case mods but...

painted my mouse, keyboard base, and monitor black to match my tower. As for the case itself, I havent done anything, other than a cathode, and cable kit. I dont like those overly huge case mods. They look more ugly than good.

try to tape of you nice hl thing, and spray pain the whole case over with some yellow, light brown and orange, so you get a bit of a rusty feel to it :biggrin:

I was thinking of constructing a barrel-case. Just take an old rusty barrel and put all the parts in it. Now that would be a HL2 case!!

i did that with mine also ! exept i used the FUSION spraypaint black (i think thats what its called) and then hand painted the logo in hyperflourecent orange :wink:
