After reading the first paragraph, all's I have to say is:
I liked it when EA was a small company in 1995 that made Need for Speed games

I saw that article a few minutes ago. Honestly, I wasn't
happy when they bought out my favorite developer ever, Maxis, in
1995. I mean, Maxis still created some good games after
that... SimCopter, for example. I started hating EA once
Maxis started their eternal quest of making "The Sims"
expansion packs that didn't actually expand much of anything.
After reading that article, I'm seriously considering a personal EA boycott...
Of course it won't make a difference, but at least I won't have it on my conscience.

EA games. I lack the vocabulary to explain my feelings for EA games. A lot of them fits with the word 'detest'. WORLD DOMINATION AHOY!

Still, they make good games. Remember MOHAA?

All this yelling about 'becoming the biggest' leaves me wondering if
they also intend to become 'the best' in terms of quality games...

But ... uh ... I liked Spearhead much
more then Allied Assault ... Breakthrough is a joke. Pacific Assault
is just disappointing most of the time (yet cool at other times).
I'll definitely be
looking at Men of Valor, didn't know 2015 was responsible though.

MOHAA was the dogs bollocks, but I got MOH Pacific Assault for
Christmas and it leaves much to be desired. Still reasonably fun, but
nowhere near the level of AA, particularly in the level design
department. I'm horrified at how bad it is in some parts.

I was actually disappointed by MOHAA when I played it. The game started out very nicely, but went downhill after a while. The gameplay got repetitive.
But back on topic... I think EA is trying to become the Microsoft of gaming. It's not a good sign. In addition, I am sure you are all aware of that they treat their employees like slaves. Working more than twelve hours a day and six to seven days a week is the norm. They take advantage of the people's thrill in game design and abuse it to the limit.
I have a friend from high school who's working for EA, but I think he's left the company already. He needed to get a real social life outside of working.
