Did you guys hear about this suspect who escaped from the holding
cell of the courthouse in Georgia, U.S. and shot his way out of the
courthouse using a weapon he got from the prison guard
(http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-atlanta12mar12,0,716590.story?coll=la-home-headlines)?
From BBC:

Police say Mr Nichols wounded the female sheriff's
deputy escorting him outside the courtroom on Friday, before entering
the room and taking those inside hostage.

He then allegedly shot dead Judge Rowland Barnes, one of the most senior judges in Atlanta, and a stenographer.

Making his escape from the building, he is also said to have shot dead a second sheriff's deputy.

The female officer wounded in the shooting is said to be in critical condition but is expected to survive.

-----

He has been captured already, but the story is eerily
similar to the premise of my single player map, sp_justice
(http://www.snarkpit.com/maps.php?map=1643), where the player has to
escape from the courthouse jail and shoot his way out of the courthouse.

I swear, however, that I have nothing to do with the
convict's escape plan. I don't think he played my map before the
escape.

It was their fault. They left him out of his restraints while taking him to the court room (you're suppose to leave them in restraints until right outside, then take them out so they're not seen as a criminal to the jury ... or something like that)

He also pistol whipped a reporter and stole his car ... maybe that parts a good thing.

It can only happen in the U.S. all I can do is hang my head in shame
that Britain is allied with another nation which also educates as
poorly as we do. Which reminds me, please vote in the Liberals! (Mainly

from what I read, he was told to change his clothes and he over powered
a female gaurd, killed her took her gun, walked down the hall across a
'bridge' into a court room and shot a judge and a- well you read the
story...

http://www.11alive.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=60204

btw, 11 alive is the local news station here (yeah I live in atlanta).

The cops really made a mess of this.

I did vote against Bush, but he won anyway because there are too many ignorant conservatives in this country.

I bet if everyone were mappers, Bush would never get re-elected. Mappers are too smart to be fooled by his conservative conspiracy.

That's the scary part. In my map, that's exactly what the player does to get to the courtroom and the judge's chamber.

Not to start a political discussion, but I'm quite pro-Bush. Which
means that mappers don't necessarily share the same vision on some
subjects.

Bush didn't overpower a female gaurd and shoot her. Bush didn't
walk into a court room and kill two people. Liberals couldn't
have stopped him, the right wingers didn't pistol whip some guy for his
green honda accord.

Your right though, only in america could some one walk into an American court room and kill two people.

Dumb people didn't get bush elected. missinformation and
misconseptions and diffrent oppinions did, but thats another thread.

All jokes aside, I'm pretty sure the coincidence happened because my map is based on an actual courthouse, and all courthouses have the same basic layout. The prisoner's holding section is usually connected to the main courthouse via a bridge. And that's typically the only connection between the two buildings.

Anyways, enough political rambling.

you guys never heard about Belgian's number one devil, Dutroux (kidnapped, raped girls and starved them to death)? After they caught him, he took a gun from a security guard, did a carjacking and almost fled out of the country. It caused the minister of justice to resign and a whole hectic situation and fundamental rearangements.
Yeah we made quite a fool out of ourselves
