Have to post these goodies on every forum I frequent... Set up my new toys last night!

These things rock. And it's neat having space on a desk now, since this desk can hold these (they're about 25% the weight of my old 20" CRTs despite actually being 1" bigger in viewable size)... I call it... the "wall of awesome."

Now if only I had time to play around with the wacom...

Game is my copy of Brothers in Arms I picked up that afternoon and hadn't installed yet.

PC:

Athlon XP 3200+
1 GB PC3200 DDR
Radeon 9800

Need to get rid of that 9800 now... The pixelation in non-native resolution games (i.e. running anything at less than 1600x1200) is a little more noticeable now... So will just have to make sure I've got the power to max everything out to 1600

Big fan of Dell?

I can tell you have a profession in art

That desk is really nice. Where'd you get it? (a.k.a. brand)

I miss my desk. Right now I have my computer set up as an "entertainment center". This means, I sit at the end of my bed typing away on the keyboard which sits on a piece of wood which is sitting on a vertical Office Depot file box.
I miss my chair too ($200, real soft leather ... )

Oh yeah .. the monitors are alright. If a flat panel TFT displays in 1600x1200 (showing the entire screen) then it's good in my book

2 things.

1) i take it the pc on the floor, not the one on the desk is the big guy

2) why the ancient hexen? at least put hexen 1 on because 2 sucked.

/notices.. specs are slightly lower than mine.. /me doesn't feel like a complete n00b anymore.

Andrew, when/if you get rid of the 9800, i need a second one for my old system.. quote me a price before you toss it please.

Space that you seem to have quickly filled up with clutter  Nice
looking setup you have there though - my dual monitor setup is less
than ideal, having one 19" CRT and one 17" CRT

Odd how you have all that kickass technology and yet you still use VHS.

Edit: If this is how his comp desk looks I'd like to see the rest of his house.

heh, no, still the default image  Had some... troubles... prying that off... was afraid I was going to break the damned thing! it remains for now.

I wasn't aware miniDV qualified as VHS, either, and the thing's got some pretty killer digital capacity if I'd get off my ass and get a bigger card than the 8 meg dinky thing that came with it

I can't wait until everything goes wireless. Until you plug one thing in your computer and one thing in an outlet and BAMB you're done. Looks like you could use that too  The only thing with a lot of wires is it's hell going to a LAN party.

Looks nice, probably less cluttered than it looks.
