the girls dont answer any questions
I wonder it's because they've signed a contract with Ubisoft (their sponsor) so they cannot participate in any game discussion that are not made by Ubisoft.

That's sad. That being said, it's interesting to see that there are so many discussion about Half-Life 2 in the Ubisoft sponsored forum. I guess you cannot supress the interest in a truly good game.

I thought the Cartoons were hotter than the real girls, although some were nice looking. I'd've kissed any one of them.. ON THE MOUTH!

Actually you know SOMEWHERE there is a group of Halo2 fanboys jerking off to these girl's blogs... yikes... :leper:

Woohoo! Ubisoft has a couple of mascots.

Im surprised, youd think that EA would be first with this kind of
thing. I bet theyre having some sleepless nights trying to counter this.

Oh and btw, this forum is so full of men. I detest you all. Bring in Monqui and the gay view on these girls!

I wouldn't want a woman who's a gamer - especially not one of these fugly hoes.

I would, I think it would be nice to have a girlfriend that enjoys what
is obviously a large part of my life. Its not a prerequisite or
anything, I just think it would be a benefit

I definately agree with you Reno. To be honest I don't think I'd go out with a girl who wants me to stop playing video games, as its a big part of my life. That goes for anything else as well.

Personally, to me the ideas of girlfriends and videogames are mutually exclusive.

I've found that I have to abandon videogames if I want to maintain a
healthy functioning relationship. The second I get sucked into a
game, my relationship goes in the crapper. Its really
strange. It's as if being absorbed in the game breeds apathy to
the real world.

Anyone else find this to be true?

I've accepted this as a problem, and I've definitely given up video
games for a year at a time for the sake of being hypersocial, athletic
and academic. I think its my addictive personality.

For me, gaming is okay, but mapping isn't. I found it feasible
for me to quit after a checkpoint in Far Cry after a reasonable amount
of playing (about an hour or so), but mapping is another matter.
Once I start mapping, my entire life goes down the drain.

I simply couldn't extricate myself from the computer when Hammer is
open. I was glad that compile time takes a while, otherwise I
wouldn't eat or go to the bathroom. I ignored my fiance
completely when I was making the sp_justice map, and she got very upset
at one point.

That's why I still game, but I don't dare to even open Hammer
anymore. Our wedding date is fast approaching, and I want to
spend all my spare time with her. When I play games, I can still
manage to strike a balance between my job, exercise, chores, and social
activities.

Yeah, once you get on a roll mapping is very addictive, at least for me. I think its the same with other types of art as well - you look at painters who get so into a painting they shut themselves off from the world, and never really think its "finished".

Is it possible that masturbation is an art form? I get lost in my own world for the 2 or 3 minutes it takes to finish.

2 or 3 minutes..? wow. maybe a quicky for me? maybe? you gotta enjoy it, man! anyway..

though a woman with gaming interests would be a plus, i know perfectly well how games effect the personal life. i want someone to fill in the gaps i have, not someone with the same gaps. plus.. these chicks look f**kin stupid. this posing, batting eyelashes BS is no different from what i see every day. stupid shallow bitches with gaming interests are still just that. stupid shallow bitches.

Ive been, carefully, trying to get my girlfriend into gaming but she
sorta just lets me say my point and then dismiss it. Seems she rather
lie on the bed, moaning and calling my name all the time, rather then
joining me in my gaming/modeling/mapping. :azelito:

Monqui! How dare you mention my nationality in this conversation? I
will see to it that you get fired from that job you had where you sat
in a wardrobe, did nothing and had your two female bosses coming on to
you all the time. You American, you!

lie on the bed, moaning and calling my name...
My fiance did just that at one point, but I continued to tweak my
point_spotlight settings into the night. She was a bit miffed
after that.

I agree. Deep down inside, I am glad that she doesn't have the
same weakness that I have. Otherwise, we'll be both mapping and
never talk to each other again.

What are we? We rather express out artistic thoughts on a computer,
than have sex with our ladies. We are the broken link in the chain of
evolution!

Get used to it. There is a population crisis developing in most western
worlds, where poeple who get married decide not to have kids and
instead pursue their careers and interests. The thing that worries me
most is that the only ones still breeding are the trash of society,
those who have no aspirations beyond their current point on the bottom
rung in life, and those in the third world. Thats a scary possibility
for the future, and a trend that could see the developement of a 'Brave
New World' type society.

Poor people aren't inherently stupid. There will always be a higher and a lower tier to society; neither can suddenly cease to exist.

I'm not saying that, though it would seem a number of those in
Australia at least on welfare are quite happy to remain there. It's
those kind I'm talking about, the ones who have more kids because it'll
increase the number on their fortnightly cheque. In Australia five kids
is the magic number. Most of the children born into that environment
are likely to turn out the same as their parents. Logically this would
result in an increasing population dependent on others, and who are
happy to stay dependent rather than look for work.

Contrary to this are those who work and strive to better themselves, or
at least so they are not a burden on society. An ever increasing number
of these people, with the mounting cost of living and the already
enormous cost of raising children, are deciding to wait to have
children till they have advanced significantly in their careers. For
this same financial reason they are also having less children. Couple
this with the fact that more women also want to have careers, leaves
little time to have and raise children.

Obviously this is a basic look at it, and I don't claim to be any kind
of expert, but if you look at it logically it could be a possibility if
the trend continues. This is also more based on Australia, so
they might not apply every where. Also I'm not trying to have a go at
anyone, unless of course your a dirty dole bludger. Get a job!

This is also more based on Australia, so

Unfortunately, it is the trend everywhere. Ambitious, intelligent
people tend to chose have less kids, and the ones with no aspiration
also have no inclination for birth control.

Ultimately, our planet is going to be crowded with dumb asses and
society is going to crumble as a result. That's why we the
mappers should make it our mission in life to procreate and make little
baby mappers.

I got my marriage license from the county this morning, and I was just
talking to my fiance about that. I would be quite disappointed if
my kids don't map at all.

Also, those who are really fit to have kids (emotionaly, and finacialy) use birth controle.

Those who arn't pull out.
