Hopefully, I'll see it within the next week or so.

Of course, I'm a purist.I feel like Sean Connery embodied the true spirit of Bond as the Broccoli family envisioned it. Roger Moores Bond was fettered down with a certain 70's cheeziness that I never quite liked(Like the big metal mouth guy Jaws). Same is true for Pierce Brosnan, while he was possibly the handsomest Bond, his films were filled with too much "Bond-ish" pageantry and alittle too grandiose with not much in the way of believable action sequences or substance.
Dalton, Lazenby and Niven were just Bond fillers if you will. Although Dalton gave it a run though.
I have'nt seen the newest installment yet so I'll have to reserve my judgement on Craig.

Hmm, this rottentomatoes website seems pretty cool. I've normally just used IMDB as my source for movies, but it looks like I have something else to rely on. Thanks for posting the link!

I thought the Dalton movies were great movies, they just weren't great Bond movies. He was a little too nice, Bond needs to be a little more scary. Underneath all the charm, he is an assassin and a killer.

My grandpa told me he didn't like it 'cause there was too much action and too few babes.
Most awkward/awesome conversation I've ever had with my grandpa...

Eragon looks pretty weak. I don't hate movies of that genre, but it just seems really cliche.
Saw the new bond...loved it. I'm also getting all 4 of the Ultimate Collections for the previous Bond movies for Christmas (some I'm buying and some the girlfriend). Casino Royale has the same director as my other favourite Goldeneye, too. I thoroughly enjoyed the step back from CG and the standard over the top stuff. And it was the most listenable dialogue I've seen in a movie in a long time. Pretty well everything about it was worth it and that's coming from someone who's pretty cynical about most movies these days.

Sadly, I thought the whole James bond theme went south after Roger Moore.. Actually, Sean replayed his role after Roger, but one cannot fault him much.
IMO, there were only two Bonds. Each named James.

I find it ironic that Brosnan wanted to play a more serious Bond... then MGM dumped him and went with someone else to play... a more serious Bond. Although I think changing the actor and doing a reboot like this was the only way the could truly make that kind of change in tone. I'm surprised they kept Judi Dench as M, even. She was great as always, though.
I think Brosnan is my favorite, if only because he was the current Bond when I truly got into the series. I liked all of them, though. Each actor sort of brings his own thing to the role.
I was afraid I wouldn't like Daniel Craig, but he's turned out to be quite good.

Hmm
/me scratches noggin.
I knew that Sean played Bond twice, but thought Moore took the center position.
Sorry, my bad.
And yes, I thought the guy who played in "On her majesties secret service" did a great job. But as a one hit wonder, his Bond cannot compete for the overall success of both Moore and Connery.
Still, was my bad. Thanx.
[EDIT]
f**k me. I was right, but wrong. I am asleep.
I just re-read your post and it did confirm my reply, if you discount the one hit wonder dude.
Still, I was wrong because in my mind, that guy was #3, and clearly he was not.

My problem with Lazenby wasn't so much the actor, as the fact that it was the most boring Bond script ever.
