Don't give up on level design because you can't finish a map matey  Just try making small maps if larger projects grind to a halt, that's what I'm doing now.

Wild Card, I figured you just pulled an Amelia on us.
Welcome home.
Coincidentally, I nominated one of your maps for the Saturday tourney.

You mean my maps (map?) actually get played? Or are you just pulling my leg
And who's Amelia? Amelia Earhart?
I actually went into my profile and read my tutorials and the comments, and the comments I got on Cliff Complex and almost cried haha. Wish I could map again. Wish I didnt stop in the first place. Alas, lack of time for it. Im working 6 to 7 days a weeks now to pay off my plane. Every two or three weeks I take a day off to go flying.
Jon, any interesting stories from you, or from the pit that I've missed? (Im sure there are  )

You can pick it up again matey, just re-download hammer and you're off again.
You don't need to spend hours and hours everyday doing it, but I'm sure you can find like a half hour here and there to make some goodies.
It'll just be a slower process.

Lep, Gwil, ReNo, Doc B, M$, ... thats all I remember, besides you dear Jon.
Well, of the original Snarkpit Roster, maybe its good I came in to say hello. For all you know Jon, I did fly to the Pacific and crashed and died.
But no, I just flew to Maritime Canada. I guess that's close enough though (even though its on the wrong ocean)

Hello WC. I thought I'd already posted in this thread, but apparently not. I remember you getting your pilots licence, or part of it at least. I didn't doubt that you'd have your own plane before too long. What kind is it, and would it still fly with styrofoam chainguns and rockets mounted on the wings?

Jon, I wont say Im sorry, I wont offer condolences (spelling?) simply because, heck you've gotten enough already and I dont feel like getting you all mushy again.
But on the positive note, you're alive and using broadband (still?) Your post count is over 10,000 which is something I would have surely rivaled you had I not left. And some other stuff which I was going to post about last night when I read the thread but forgot.
I am sad to hear that "free at last" didnt make you free from the wife though. Hmm.
Next time you visit Canada, maybe I can provide you with hard drives or ram or a monitor for your system, as Im getting rid of some of my stuff.
hmm, maybe we'll have to release an HL2 DM map together or something.

Thank bud.
The "free at last" was a leftover from my Christmas avatar. It was frozen for a couple months and when I thawed it again, I posted that phrase.
Fort Smith has an airport BTW. hint, hint

/me doesnt have a passport... mubbles stupid Bush mubbles
Nor do I have any free time for the rest of my life. Im working full time 6 days a week until September. I leave my Saturdays available so I can go flying in good weather. If not, I call up work and work Saturday too. Gotta plane to pay
But maybe after all the mayhem, After I finish my last semester come September. That'll be over in January. I know by September I'll have half the plane paid off. After January I can either get a job in the field of computers, or aviation. Not sure which I'll go to. Computers would pay better obviously, but working at the flying club means I'll always be around airplanes and my plane. And it means it'll be a heck of a lot easier for me (who doesnt drive and relies on city buses) to go flying after work.
I do have plans to fly to BC at some point. A friend of mine lives there, and she's married and has two little ones now. I also want to hit Oshkosh Wisconsin, lovely airshow there. Last time I was there (2003) I got 2nd degree sunburns haha. I want to go back to the Maritimes again, that was loads of fun.
And of course I wouldnt mind venturing into the States, Florida (Oshkosh as I mentioned), Lake Placid, probably the bottom of the rockies as well. Who knows. Alaska too. I just have WAY too many places to fly to.. Fort Smith, Texas also now.

Yea that glider picture is back in 2003 when I got my licence. I bet I changed. haha not by much, I might have grown, but I still weight the same
[edit] Haha Jon, you look like some old biker dude  Well, next weekend when I go see my plane I'll take a picture. Its been a while since I've had a decent picture taken of me..

I hope you didnt come to that conclusion because of the name (American Aviation AA-1 Yankee)... Anywhere in the world, the Cessna 172 is the most prominent airplane. Yankees, there were less than a thousand built in the 4 years it was in production.

According to the company, there were 459 Yankee's built between 1969 and 1971 (although some were built in late 1968 AFAIK)
Cessna 172s, I believe started in 1956. And are still built today. With about 35,000 of them built.

Well that plane didnt cost me the price of a small house, but safe to say it cost me the price of a new car. A new plane on the other hand... will cost you the price of a medium sized home.
