That's a pretty random collection. And not the most original thread idea. But since not much else is going on around here...

I'd rather go with CSI, since I don't think the other games quite deserve the hype they got, which I find unsympathetic. Plus I hate sports games.

Call of Duty 4, all the way. I was annoyed with the hype the game got ... but ignoring that, I love the IW games in the series and 4 is no different. Call of Duty 2 has some of my favorite FPS level design, for instance.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

That's a pretty random collection.
Seriously! What inspired the game choices, if you don't mind me asking?

I voted COD4, and given that this is an FPS oriented level design community I'm gonna wager most others will go that route too.

Hmm let me guess... you got a few dollars to spare and wonder what to buy next.

TBH, my vote was entirely a COD4 anti-statement since I try to boycott propagandistic war and terror simulations (mostly because they bore me). COD4 has somewhat smooth and entertaining gamedesign, I'm sure. I just think it takes itself way too seriously with the pseudo-realistic glorification of real-world conflicts. Kinda like America's Army. The most grotesque and disgusting video game ever made with the possible exception of this sad failure of mankind.

Feel free to enjoy COD4 as a fun shooter, though, nothing wrong with that.

Those games all blow so I'll go with Half-Life 2, or the game I'm currently playing, IL-2 Sturmovik.

I'd rather play Shogun: Total War than any of those
I voted COD4, Infinity Ward is damn good at what they do.

CoD 4 - but +1, "what a random selection"

As it happens i'm level 52/3 on CoD 4 in a matter of weeks and I still suck. Oh well.

Seeing as I have Halo 3 and finished it many times, I voted for COD 4.

None of the above.

I told you not to read that.

"Random" is a good choice of words. I personally would'nt buy any of the above listed games, although Call of Duty comes closest to that category. I already own Halo 3 and it just does'nt hold my interest very well.

I haven't played any of these games so i don't know really. I just voted for Halo 3. I had a lot of fun playing Halo 1 pc. I do own CoD4. I just need the comp to play it. I'll find out what i think of it then.

hehe, I was thinking about it, but, I've already finished halo 3 many times, I've gotten all the skulls and so on. Don't get me wrong, its an awesome game imo, but you know, I kinda want to know what COD 4 is like.

that first halo 3 votes was me...

I own none of these games, and the only series I have games in is halo, which I have found to be an enjoyable series, so I would want halo 3 (and a 360 D:)

Wheres the choice for other?

Pong all the way. Still rulz.

However, I am getting very annoyed with the whole "Must have internet access" to play thing.

For the record, we all do not have a choice about internet.

Actually its a two edged sword. I look at games that say you must have internet and I get mad and don't buy it, then I look at a game that plays offline, but would be mucho better online, and get mad and don't buy it either. So here I am wishing I had the net, but on some level glad I don't because I am saving a fortune, not to mention, I am getting so much work done in my yard/property.

I did buy the new UT game. Yes it looks like it would be so much better online, but the single player campaign was most enjoyable too.
