Lets see which from the two types of maps you like more and why. My choice is "MP and SP maps".MP maps are nice in action.SP maps can played every time you want(mostly when you don't have connection to the NET).
Never think about bad things!

It really depends on the quality of the map. But I enjoy both singleplayer and multiplayer maps, it really depends on what mood I am in.

Well hate to say it but I have to vote for MP...before I started playing online about 1.5 yr ago I was into SP big time. But no matter how many cinematics and art masterpieces you put in there, you can't beat the plays of a good MP game.

Now I'm jaded, I found the ep1 and ep2 experiences somewhat underwhelming, not that I don't appreciate the amount of expertise that goes into these things.

Having said that I will say the last SP game that made me want to play it was OP4, which I played about a year ago.

As a mapper, the amount of gameplay you get out of a mp map for your time is far better an investment. That being said, I really should make a SP map some time just for the experience of it.

Until someone can code some AI that's equal to real people in a MP map, then my vote stays with MP.

See all above! MP for me, its just better. Until someone makes a story and SP equal to Half Life (1) and brings me back to dialup internet, it is predestined I and others will enjoy multiplayer.

Tricky one for me to answer, because although I prefer single player games and play a whole lot more on my own than I do multiplayer, when it comes to custom levels I do tend to prefer multiplayer ones. It's also what (at this point in my career) I make and tend to prefer making. I guess its because a large part of what I enjoy with single player is the polish and presentation. The voice acting, the cut-scenes, the progression of story, the introduction of new enemies, weapons and abilities. That's not something you see often in custom levels, and so single player custom levels tend to leave me feeling underwhelmed. Not to belittle what a lot of them do, as some are fabulous taken within a certain context; I just find single player to be something that demands more than most custom map developers are able to provide.

Play WoW for any length of time and you'll learn to loathe multiplayer games. Not because of the games themselves, but because of the people you'll be playing with and the horrible community that inevitably springs forth.

I blame the failing education system, parents who don't care about their children, and nerds.

I'd have to lean towards single player I s'pose. I don't have anything against multiplayer in general, but I have found that most multiplayer maps do the same rigamoral that every other multiplayer map, using deathmatch as an example.

Not that there's anything bad with that -- I enjoy deathmatch like the next person, but I'd rather play an inovative single player map or game any day of the week over a multiplayer map or game. It's also partly because I get tired of the incensant stupidity and "skill" talk that almost always follows a multiplayer game like a stalker.

I guess if anything, it just depends on the game, the game mode, the player base, and the maps. I could go either way, if it's done well.

edit: I suppose I should add, for the sake of honesty, that multiplayer has been what I've been playing lately. Curse these polls!
