Half-Life 2: Deathmatch dm_insurrection_b2

This is an HL2DM map set to take place at the location of one of the first citizen uprisings shortly after the destruction of you know what by Gordon (didnt want any spoilers for the single player game in here). I have yet to test with more than a few people, but i would estimate this map to be suitable for around 12 players.

The map is about where i want it to be, but i left the completion at 90% because i haven't yet had a big playtest, and there are a few minor issues i haven't gotten around to fixing yet.

edit: the map has been rehosted, if you follow the above link, the file is dm_insurrection.rar in the Official Valve Map Contest Entries section. The link to go directly to the file was too long to paste in the box.

edit: i've fixed those pesky texture errors and changed a few things, including weapon layout.

edit: renamed to not give an error message when joining a server with the old version

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch BunkerWars

BunkerWars is a map set in the mountains, with two bases facing each other. There are two bunkers that you can hide in, one containing a crossbow; the other an RPG. There are two fortifications, nice to stop and hide when running across the battlefield. There is also a pair of sniper platforms, hit the button and the platform goes up for 60 seconds, when it is up in the air you can push it around with your gravity gun. The bases have spawn rooms, which helps you fight spawn camping by letting you organize your team. The bunkers and bases are connected by tunnels, on the exit of each tunnel is a door that can only be opened/closed from the outside. All of this creates several ways to get to the enemy base, and many places where to fight (in the tunnels, in the air, in bunkers, in bases, etc.)

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch killbox_v2

This is version 2 of killbox. It is nearly a replica of the original. It is a bit rough because it is my first map. But all the gameplay is maintained from the original from HL1 DM. Dload and play!

The theme of the map is based on the Combine architecture found at the end levels of HL2; it takes place on an Combine Outpost farther away from the city.

The final version is now complete!!!

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch dm_agora (dm_platform)

I've been working on this map for about a month now,
and although it doesn't seem like much compared to
some other quality maps, I'd like to think I've come a long way.

It was inspired by the deathmatch genre in it's
entirety although much of it comes from the quake family.

It is built 100% with displacements, and there is not a single
visible world brush in the entire level.

It features large asteroids on orbit around the map and smaller
ones are floating inside it waiting to be grabbed.

It's worth a mention that the small asteroids won't
respawn until they've all been thrown off the map.

  • Sorry but the download server is a bit slow but it works. The filesize is 376 kb (more or less). I'll try to upload it in any other server in the future.
This map is based on a part of a building. It's also a central ground and two important rooms: a conference room and a computer one. There are many weapons and a lot of action. Of course I could remake it with your opinion and new ideas.

This is my first map for HL2 DM and I think i'll make better maps in the future.

My second (and last) test map.

It's a remake of the lambda_bunker map from HLDM. I haven't changed the layout, though I did build the map from scratch so the map dimensions aren't accurate.

I'm not holding a flame for this map so if it's really bad then I won't bother releasing it, but your thoughts are still welcome as I am still learning to map and I'll like to know where I could improve.

Unreal Tournament 2003 DM_FEEDBACK

Due to unexplainable problems I can't fix, the map won't be released. It's a shame to waste the work, but I might do a similar layout for a HL2_DM map.
This is my first UT2003 map and it took approximately 1 full week to make.

Its a small DM arena with an industrial/hellish theme. Its fast and furious and the ideal player count is about six, possibly eight if you want. Still tweaking some things like paths and weapon placement but its pretty much done. The UnrealEd shot is lighting only to give you an idea of the layout while the 2 ingame shots show the look. Should have a download link up soon.

You can now download my new map from the link below.I am calling it beta 1 and if you have any suggestions to make it better I will try and include them for beta 2.

Its a sort of futuristic looking map using the citadel/combine textures.There is a Heal/Frag pod which will regenerate health but can also be reversed via floor pads to instantly kill whoever is inside.
