This is my contest submission. It is now done, but I have only released beta8. the final version was sent to VALVe and shortly after my computer had to be reformatted. SO VALVe should be the only people to have it.

this map is something i have been toying with for a while. the version which is here is the most recent public version. i expect a new version to be in the next few days that adress some of the issues herein. most notably a clipping issue in one of the hallways.

finally, the lighting will unfortunately have to be changed. Players have found the shadows too dark and feel that a bit more light should be added therein. as a result the lighting scheme is subject to change.

A medium-sized map made for the Valve mapping contest. Set in the City17 canals and sewers, featuring a nice mix between indoor and outdoor combat.

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch dm_lostbase

This is my entry for Valve's dm map contest. I'm not quite satisfied but this was what time allowed me to create. I would have liked more time to get to know the new HL2 features.

It started out as a map for testing the bots in HL 1. I made a simple version of the biggest room in the map and tried it out with different bots. Then I added some more rooms and features. It has been playtested in it's HL1 version and was quite usable for dm, my colleges who tested found it has an exiting layout that creates fast paced action. It has been converted and upgraded with HL2 features. A security room with an overview screen of the two largest rooms in the map has also been added. The layout is that of an abandoned secret base somewhere in a desert environment.

I recommend 6+ players, 12 being the ideal, but I guess 20 players could have a crowdy but good time...

Any comments are appreciated on this map...

My apartment! This is my first map for Source, no textures or models yet (now I have to learn XSI, ugh). I'll eventually shrink it down and make it a rats-style map so it's playable. In case anyone was wondering, the apt complex is "The Hunt Club" in Austin, TX.

Zombie Panic (HL) Eastside

I made the bulk of this map in 12 hours. I was bored on a Saturday so I wanted to see what I could come up with in 12 hours. The first version of this map was for TS but I ported it to ZP and changed the skybox/light_env to night to set the darker tone of Zombie Panic and adjusted the respawns and weapon placement for the mod.

Counter Strike Source fy_splooge

This map is a small funmap made for cs:s. It emphasizes killing a player by other means other than shooting. Sort of like glass floor. You start on a huge wooden plank that can be shot if u want to tk :P. But if the players on ur team are smart enough they can jump off of it before u shoot it out. Then there is a glass floor (unbreakable) with a button on it (I will get to the button in a minute). Then there is a checkerboard with walls mazing it making it CQC. The buttons sound a 2 second alarm followed by dropping the checkers. This map is symetrical and the T's get black squares and the ct's get white squares. Different buttons have different alarms so if u have fast enpoguh reflexes you wont be dropped. At the bottom is a huge fan, 2 roller crushers, and spikes. This map is dedicated to lucy, (my friends dog, inside joke). It is an fy map so no bombs or hostages.
