Half-Life: Deathmatch dm_funsciencelab

A deathmatch map which is made for the purpose of creating fun situations.
The main goal when I started making this was that it would be fun to play with friends..
There's several buttons you can press with does crazy stuff. In the middle of the map is a big machine who comes down from the roof and kills anyone who happens to be in the nearby area. The floor in the "pit" can also be opened, either from a button at the floor or the lab.

Team Fortress 2 cp_2camp_v1

This is probably the closest piece of TF2 map by me for a release. Now here is the deal. I'm now trying to make something super-special or uber-unique, just something I wanted to try out on gameplay. This map is really small and perfect for some tense melee I've been looking for. It's a second away from one spawn to other with a CP on each of the 2 ways around the 3rd CP. And of course a little way-around tunnel just to make it little more tricky.

It's a night map, because I'm sick and tired of the day ones. And all I want to do is to play it... with people.

Open for criticism and feedback. Maybe the map can turn out to be something more than it's now. Yea, by the way, the stupid blue and red lights in the tunnels were my girlfriends idea, so be easy on me about it

Team Fortress 2 Mayan Depths

Hey guys, been quite some time since I've been here. This map was one I worked on a while back and posted on a different different mapping archive.

The following is the excerpt that was posted on that site, including a reference to how old this is, since I no longer work at a theater.

Note: This contains the original, pre-Valve mode for KotH. This map contains the version of KotH (which is remarkably similar to Valves) which I released for the masses to use a whole 1.5 years before Valves official release.

After watching "Indiana Jones IV" at my job one day, I suddenly had the urge to create a temple themed map. This is the result of that urge. In all actuality, it only took a couple days to execute; however, I constantly found myself putting it off elapsing the development time to 1.5 months.

KotH Mayan Depths (Release version 1)

How to win:
Take control of the center control point, aka "The Hill", and hold it for a total of 6 minutes. The individual teams timers do not reset, allowing for a game to last around a maximum of 12 minutes possible (not including the time it may take for a team to take control of "The Hill" first).
The timer that appears on the hud is for the team that currently controls the point.
---Due to issues with the engine, only one timer can be on the screen at a time, and the timer cannot be removed from the screen on a new round.

Description:
This is a Mayan theme map, featuring a medium size indoor arena. Loaded with plenty of pillers to be used as cover, and anti-spawn camping set-up.

Notes:
I'm well aware that the hieroglyphs in this map are actually Egyption; however, with my current time frame, actually finding material files with Mayan hieroglyphs proved to be futile. Since both language sets share the same name, I went ahead and used them for detail purposes.

**Install:
Just extract the .bsp into "team fortress/tf/maps" directory. All custom map iles and the .txt are merged with the .bsp and will unload upon loading the map into the client.

Extra:

On a side note, I realize that the materials in this map do not have the best of quality . . . or bump maps; however, I found these from an old HL1 texture site and converted them myself.

Edit: Also, if many of you show interest, I can even turn this map into a fastCTF map as well.

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch wild_west

This is a small map I was making for HL1 and like many other projects I've been doing for HL1, it also got left behind and abandoned. When I started mapping for HL2, and realised I can convert maps from HL1 to HL2, I used this map as a sort of tutorial map, and I've been adding on to it as I've been learning about HL2 editing. The map is a small 2-8 player map and is at 40% progress. My biggest goal at Snarkpit has been to add maps and contribute to the site because it is one of my favourite sites, hopefully, I'll have uploaded this map soon.

It is a map on which I have practiced lighting, texture, architecture. This is not my first map, but it may well end up being the first I post because it is the smallest. There isn't much gameplay to it at the moment, but it's only at 40% and will definitely be worth a run when it's complete.

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch dm_diehard

This was my first source map, which I started around five years ago. It was almost complete but I was never satisfied with it so i never released it. So, I decided to load it up, rename it from dm_garage to dm_diehard, polish it off, and submit it to the community. I have a tendency to not submit things, but I want to be rid of that. This is the first of a few projects I have not submitted that were almost done.

This map is based off of the first level of the game Die Hard Trilogy for PS1 (terrible graphics but very fun), which was a parking garage. I recreated the map in hammer and then added my own artistic licence as well as a couple secrets. The map is compact but offers plenty of cover for some pretty interesting firefights. I always thought a parking garage would make a good place to paintball or something, so here you go. Enjoy!
