I wanna put a llama in my map. What sort of model entities could I use, and where would be a good resource to find llama models.

Well first you need a llama model, I know theres one out there. Then just put it in the map as a monster_furniture or monster_generic. Monster_furniture is probably the better one to use.

Well if it's multiplayer you'll have to use a "cycler" instead of monster entities. As for a llama model... No idea.

I could never get models in-game. We are talking about cycler_sprite yus? because I found there was nowhere to enter the model with that.

Edit: Bug I think lep m8, All the comments below campaign's seem to be coloured like answers.

Perhaps youve nto set the colours etc to stop after his post? unless im mistaken & my comment post is meant to be yellow.

Edit2: seems youve sorted it before I finished posting :/

Whoa, how does this suggested answer format work? Anyone can just choose from the dropbox? Nifty.

Thanks for all the help with the llamas, guys. I found a site with llama models here.

It's worth knowing that cycler entities react as follows:
  • Triggering or using them causes the animation to pause.
  • Shooting them causes the next animation sequence to be played, or for the animation to advance frame-by-frame if paused.
That means that any animated models placed using the cycler entity should be kept away from players, or they will end up looking weird.

DoD has a cow model in it. And to put it (or a llama if you find an appropriate model) in you'd use an env_model.

Env_model is from spirit of hl. I don't know wich mod Cash car star wants to make a map for, but cs doesnt support env_model...

just use env_sprite or env_glow. it won't be solid, but you can just use a clip brush or invisible func_wall to make it 'solid'.

that's how I did the gargoyles in Revenant. there is a func_breakable on top of the model, and when they 'break', they trigger and env_render which makes the model invisible even as custom gray gib models fall down. it's great

Heh, at the time of this thread, this forum was totally new and I had just been approved as a mod, so I made a thread just so I would know the ins and outs of how it would work. No such map.

Also: Llama was a nickname for 'lamer' in a mod I played at the time, and they created a chat filter based off it. For example, if you were to use the word 'gay' while playing, it would switch out your sentence and replace it with "My sexuality is questionable [LlamaFilter(TM)]". There were at least a dozen such messages, they were great. I feel so nostalgic right now.
