I didn't notice anything the first time, and was just going along with Hugh's joke.

But after you posted that back I went back and looked at this thread
with IE again.. and I found the animated steam icon easter egg you were
talking about. However it's miniscule on my computer.

This tired question is almost as annoying as the entire "Recently" series of threads.

What does it matter?

I know FF is better, you know FF is better, so be it people will still use IE over it. Nothing you can do (Even though FF is far superior in many ways ... it just doesn't have the normal Windows look ... which I really think is the reason why people don't use it ... it's not like it runs slower in general or something)

Anyway, it's been done to death ... resurrected and murdered a billion times over. Enough is enough. I think this type of thread, along with needlessly titled "Recently" or "What's your Rig" threads need to be banished. Maybe allow them once a year, other than that ... just don't do it. It's annoying and nothing f**king changes from the last goddamn time the question was asked!

Not to rub anyone the wrong way or anything like that, but any sort of "Easter Egg" is not enticing or exuberant enough to run the lifespan of a thread ... at least not for me.

Also, in Hindsight, I should have checked Netscape, since, I'm not running FF, but Mozilla 1.7 and Netscape is the exact same thing ... but called Netscape.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

This is just my casual observation but it is my opinion that any easter eggs that alter the website pages in any way is a hole that Lep needs to correct.

I am not sure but if I were him, I'd look into it.

Haha @ French

Anyway, yeah. Enough of these thread. No one cares what browser you use. It's a matter of preferance now, seeing how IE has updated it with tabs. The differences between them is really only about opinion, and how you like your settings, and what your using it for.

Two things about this page in IE:
1. The reply button is the moving Steam image
2. Orph's and Elon's avatars don't animate.

This page is completely normal in FF, though.
Look's like maybe Lep has done most of his site testing with Firefox

Right now, because this FireFox version is so f**ked up (I believe this term best describes my FF situation), I use IE alot. I mean I have the problem with these forums and the shockwave plugin crashes almost every time. So until FF fixes their problems, I'm using IE for alot of things.

Although IE isn't the best, it's still reliable, but FF will always be my primary browser. (Site screwy, copy/paste url to IE, much better then).

@ Y2kBen_2000:

There's an extension for Firefox (IE View) that lets you right-click on a page and click "View this page in IE" - it just makes life a little easier.

Incidentally, I've been trying IE7 lately and it's still not perfect on interpreting HTML and CSS. For example, when doing CSS you are supposed to be able to define the style for a list line (li), and then define the next line as li + li, and then the next (li + li + li) etc. Unfortunately, IE7 doesn't seem to apply this.
