A good friend and I were discussing my most recent adventure at another website. It seems that very few know my history there. More specifically, my contributions to the HL community. Not my history as an asshole. They figured that part out pretty easy.

(Paraphrasing here)

Him- So, having a hard time?
Me- Yeah.. I wish that there were some kind of a "Critiquing Portfolio" for people who's most important contribution has been mapping critiques.
Him- Why not make one?
Me- ....... /me is thinking.

Since it would be nearly impossible for me to recall all the maps I have commented on, I am asking everyone who has any recollection of my doing so to send me a "history" of when/where/whichmap.

Yeah, I can remember a few dozen but hardly the quantities needed to make a decent portfolio.

I am not asking for screens, I can obtain those, but a few words here and there of how my bit of advice made a difference. How things turned out so to speak.

If you feel that this request is pointless, I can understand. All I am asking is 5 minutes of your time to jot down a few thoughts.

Perhaps next time someone asks "Who the hell are you anyway?" I can just point them to you guys.

BTW, PM's work if you are embarresed.

You reviewed my map "Prototype" for the 2003 competition, which was very much appreciated. Sadly the review has been lost since, and isn't even on archive.org

Thanx Loco.

I know that a few of you are thinking "WTF"

But look at this request from my angle:

#1, I do not presume anything. I feel that some may not want my name associated with their success. Not that they intend rudeness, but if there were the slightest chance that my helping them could jeopardize their job then I would decline their input.

I seem plagued with 1 in a million chances of bad things happening.

So, with that thought, I would never create a portfolio that said "I helped KFS with such and such" or "With my assistance Gollum pulled off this beauty"

Thats just not how I envision my assistance coming off after years of hard work. I just don't have the right to take credit, thats not mine.

So, If you feel thankful enough, say so. If not, no hard feelings.

The best things in life, aren't things.

I'm sure you critiqued some of my maps at some point, but it was so long ago I don't remember which.

You wrote a review about my map Detention, my 2003 compo entry. It's probably removed by now, the review, but it contained some encouraging words I still remember, so hey...

Klingon was pretty radically scrutinized over about a 5 beta stage build if I remember. See if you can find any of that.

You have my full permission to write that without you, I wouldn't be where I am now in the mapping world.

(Omit the part that says that I'm not really anything)

You commented on both my maps, and gave a full review of gmdm2.

More importantly, you (and many others here) gave feedback during the development of gmdm2
