5:15 PM here and counting. This is going to be the best new year's fest for us and our bulgarian allies EVER! This is going to be great! I'm going to go across the border then i'm going to return and go across the border again and i'm going to play football on the border and piss the first tree I find on the border and then poke the border with a stick and get drunk on the border :heee: !!!1one
/me shivers in anticipation

I think you still need a passport to cross the border, although it will
be without visas. Good luck to the Romanians and Bulgarians entering
the lovely land of the European Union though. In a few years you too
will become soured and disinterested in it

You think wrong. :heee:

We can travel without visas since 2002 iirc.

My mistake. This is the treaty that covers the free passage - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schengen_treaty

I'm surprised they let in the 10+2 and Romania/Bulgaria, but hey, we're
all European friends! Common sense prevailed in the United Kingdom and
we don't have to suffer the ingrates from the continent passing freely
through our doors!

Well the last post was 16 minutes ago by this post's time, so that would make it 2:51 PM Los Angeles time. 9 hours and 9 minutes till 2007, pacific standard time but I still gotta say:

Sorry, I wasn't here last night so this comes a little late (except for somewhere in Oceania, I suppose?) - but a happy New Year, everyone!

I actually made a few new year resolutions this time, never did that before. I think it'll be a good year.

PS: Welcome to the EU, Andrei. You'll see that there won't be much of a difference, though (at least I don't remember any). :heee:

And another late post. This year started great, except that I more or less lost my voice due to a cold. However, that doesn't matter on a forum, so: happy newyear!

I was, having a good sleep. I went to bed about 9 PM as I was so tired from my last run.

About midnight, my oldest son calls. "HAPPY NEW YEAR" he says. Tis then that I notice the sounds of fire works off in the distance.

I went back to sleep comforted to know that someone was celebrating for me.
