For those of you who don't know: I can't come back to Snarkpit until I complete a map. This was supposed to keep me away for a month or so but its been a year or more now. Blah.

does it take a year to complete one map?

My first major project was de_vestige in mid 2005, which I finally gave up on after the fourth time of starting over early in 2007. DM_Soylent is the reincarnation of the aborted DM_Ozone, which I started at the beginning of this year, and won't likely be completed for another few months at least.

Snarkpit has in its possession, the biggest and grandest HL1 map, ever created. Its been nearly finished for a long time and yup, it took a long time just to get to its present stage. It exceeds nearly ever size limit HL1 has too.

Oh btw, I was wondering.. Is everyone having as miserable a Christmas this year as I?

2007 was a horrible year and I cannot wait till it ends. The ONLY Christmas gift I know I'll receive this year is the knowledge that 2007 will be gone 7 short days afterward.

Wow, that snarkpit map was amazing. One of the best maps I have seen that uses only the original half-life stuff (textures, models, sounds, sprites). I have certainly seen more detailed goldsource maps than this, however the design was flawless and I loved going into the different sections. I could easily see why this map bumped its head on the half-life limitations ceiling a few times. Well done to everyone involved in the development of the map.

This wins an easy 10/10.
