dont quote me on it, But england is the most expensive place to get houses afaik.

Think of it this way, We asked for just over 120,000 pounds for our bungalow.
i am sure its comparable all over given certain criteria.

here in Arkansas, you can buy 1 acre for $1000.00 or less depending on location, or as much as $100,000.00 (possibly more in commercial zones)

i have heard in new york city, or L.A. property is so scarce, you buy it by the square foot, and by the millions.

houses around here in jonesboro go for $180,000 new and $45,000 used on average i reckon.

(note: i leave it up to you to do the conversion from dollars to pounds)
One of the causes is all these people who are getting "self cert" morgages so they can lie on their morgage applicattions, pushing prices up for the legitamate buyer/seller. It practically impossible in some places in Britian to get on the bottom "rung" as it were of the housing ladder. Eness your rich of course.

I love the winter more than anyother season cos you got the snow, my birthday, christmas, new years and valentines day in it, I just hate how long the winter feels in canada it seemed to go on for a year and then it got bloody hot which seemed to last just as long and I was stuch in a room that was hotter than it should have been cos of the PC churning out all the hot air.

But there was one thing I liked last year when there was that massive power cut I just loved it when the US imidiatly blamed canada and vice versa that just made me laugh.

Well, on the coast it's a nice temperature, a bit chill... From 800 m and above there is snow; you can even have many meters of snow after 1500 m (we have a lot of ski facilities, but i just hate this sport).

Lebanon is a chain of mountains extremly close to the sea; that's why it has a lot of climats in spite of his small surface (10 452 m2)

We had a little bit last night for about an hour, but it was more or less gone this morning (except on my car and I had to spend ages scraping it all off). Wouldn't mind a bit more though - it's been years since we went bin-bag sledging!

I went out and drove yesterday- and I only almost died once, so I considered it a good day. I was in some tight little boulevard, with cars on my right, and a few cars about 10 feet in front of me. All of a sudden, the people in the car that was parked on the right in front of me decided to open up their driver-side door (thereby putting the door in the road, since it was so small and all), right as the people in front of me decided to slam on their brakes. So, I slam on mine, my car fishtails, and came within about 2 inches of taking that car door that opened away with me, and stopped about 3-4 inches from the car in front of me. And I was only going about 20 at the time :/

Fun times. I still love it though.

Ah, sledding  I don't live in an area suited for it, but I have many happy memories of sledding. Such as speeding down a snowy hill path towards a natural tree-stump ramp, from which I flew gracefully through the air and into the branches of a pine tree

The best is metal-runner sleds on ice-packed streets! I once took out a neighbors hedge on one of those things. it was a corner house, and I was going so fast I bounced stright up the curb, smashed through the hedge, saild across the yard, smashed through the hedge on the other side, back out onto a differnt street. no inguries.

We got some snow here in Belgium. But it kinda sucks. (this is an exceptional amount over here, usually it's just wanker-snow that melts when it hits the ground.)

i suggest using a ruler to measure its depth, as it tends to get the camera all mushy if you use them.
