That was a struggle getting the right password to log in!
waves to all the old and new faces. Good to see the site still plodding along. Spent many a good evening building HL levels, bouncing ideas around, and the occasional arguement (hai DocRock!).

I started visiting the Snarkpit when it was still hosted elsewhere (Planet Half-Life?) and had a blue and white color scheme. I was about twelve years old, I think. I remember dispensing much cruelty about peoples' maps, trying to articulate myself in the course of many philosophical threads in General (I remember Lep's criticism of Christianity, Nickelplate spouting white supremacist rhetoric, and the many, many occasions on which we quibbled over homosexuality), participating in some of the contests, discussing Islam on the IRC channel, doing some texture work for people, planning to write lots of tutorials and map reviews that I never wound up writing, showing off a couple maps I never finished, and so on. There's certainly no other forum I started visiting while a preteen that I'm still posting on. Lep, Orph, Gwil, ReNo -- I salute you. Three cheers for the Pit!
