what f**king assholes.

so is HLRally not being released? how would hacking the website effect the release, the beta installer should already have been distributed to mirrors etc. by that point...?

The idea of HL rally is good because the player base for HL is such a crazy bunch... I forsee clan battles of demolition derby forming

HL2 will be the good HL Rally though  Pretty much already has it though

That's not how HLR works...

It's really sad that the HLSR bunch has nothing better to do than wait a couple years for HLR to release before going for their 'payback' or whatever else. People suck. Grow the hell up and move on already.

As I recall, they stole just about everything. They had one map which they posted WC screenshots of for their logos and everything.

Yeh HLSR bunch of thieves, one dude on that team called Crenshaw was/is a dutch person I knew. I got in a fight with him, that was before he was in the HLSR team, and later I read a letter in which he denied having anything to do with the stolen content. Even though I know for a fact that's bulls**t, because he's a lying scumbag.....

And now this, this is such bulls**t......

How did I miss all this HL Rally drama.

I'm waiting to see how long it'll take for the theives to come out and say that they hacked HLR to prove that the mod really hadn't been that far along and that they are modern day freedom fighters by proving HLR's deception. They were doing it "for the community."

I second that. How would hacking a website have any effect on the release. A few members should have versions, and people should make backups as well as mirrors should have this file by then.

Looks like they where only slightly delayed according to hlrally.net. Just wait another day, you've already waited how long? I remember playing the first concept of the game, you drove a snark around that seems to be driving on ice, or atleast thats the way it handled.

I didn't realise that was at all related, I thought it was just a little standalone mod - snark racing.

That was turbo, made by randomnine, who also made Canned Tuna and the ill-fated Polyfighter. They had nothing to do with each other.
