I had this same problem. If you look in the console, every other r_speed is the one for the scene you were viewing at the time you set r_speeds to 1 - that's what happened for me anyway, and this isn't much good. I don't know how to fix it, sorry.

It's a steam problem ... you'll have to watch in console to see your r_'s. Dunno they're fixing it.

They do the same thing for me as Tracer's. I can only see the correct one in the console, not the in game display.

Its because dod shows three or four lines where the second to last line shows the r's.
It does this in the non-steam version as well. But steam only shows one line at a time for showing rspeeds.
its dod's problem, not steams.
and yeah, viewing in the console is the easiest way to check them.

Okay, thanks guys. I didn't really expect a fix, but I though I would check anyhow.

Actually, I believe this occurs because you have minimap on.

If I turn of the minimap it will work properly? I'll try it if I can figure out how to turn it off.

cl_minimap 0 turns the minimap off, 1 to turn it back on again

i find myself holding down the 'w' key (walk forward) then pressing ` (console) while holding down the w, because then i can run straight through a portion of the map and see the r_speed's in the console.. if that helps any.
