The rock texture is TERRIBLE. Looks like it had median filtered onto it.
The lighting outside could use some work, look more dramatic... I see a possible night time setting being a blessing for this one, give it some lamps and it would be very nice.

Geeze... You map too fast!
It doesn't look like there's too much cover around the Egyptian level, but I guess you're not done yet? Nice sky too.

I aggree with cass that your castle map would look very nive with a night time setting.
Your Egypt map looks really nice aswell but from the looks of theose screenshots it could do with some cover but like yopu said its still far from completion and you havent compiled in a while.

Indeed they do  They add a lot of character to the map too - it looked a little 'plain' without them.

The models are by Ginsengavenger and were included in a few maps for CS recently (laguna being the one I remember).
Be sure to ask permission if you use them though! Nothing worse than a CS mapper reigning fire upon you
And whats this? We have a deadline! I better get workin...

When I get my PC in order again (just recently lost my XP regestry to an IO error caused by hardware) I can hook you up with a zip which has 10 or so trees in it, including the palm tree, if you are interested.

To be honest it's almost useless posting that picture up...
We cannot tell how large this object is, what concept art it's based off or anything. But from what I can tell it is some sorta spinny crystal generator thing, perhaps a similar spinning effect as the reactor in HL single player game... :kitty:

And they're made using my own "cut everything up into triangles, even if triangles hate you" method. It keeps the polys low and manageable, but texture issues keep cropping up. Bleurgh...

Been there too for the last month or two - but it seems a shame not to finish them when i've managed to get quite far with them.
Most of my maps never make it past a days work, so i'm going to try my best to finish these ones off - quite likely my last maps for HL1 too as HL2 is just around the corner (hopefully... )
Finish your maps - it will be a good note to end HL1 mapping on
