My brother's got 3 ghz, 1 GB of RAM, 9800 Pro, and he said he'd let me play it on his computer if I bought it. Why couldn't he just buy it and give me his computer... what a meanie.

What j00 got?! I'm just worried whether my system will handle S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but from that link provided earlier, it look like it will. Still though, I'm buying a 3.0 Ghz proccy and new mobo!

Seriously, I wouldn't buy/play HL2 even if I were paid. No way I'll
ever thouch that piece of s**t, even with a 10 feet pole. If god just
heard my voice: "Please, don't let me hear about that s**t game once
more!!". I wish HL2 undone.

Everyone, this was just a joke of mine  . When I saw everyone so happy I just couldn't resist. Wanted to see how you reacted.

HL2 is one of the most anticipated and hyped games ever. Sorry for
pulling such a joke, throwing dirt at HL2, I just couldn't resist.

I'm looking forward to it as well. Most of all, all the mapping and modding possibilities.

No multiplayer doesn't mean its s**t, it just happens to be missing the
part of the game that you were most looking forward to. People who have
played it seem to be praising it as one of the best games ever, and of
course don't forget that deathmatch will surface from the community
quick smart

After putting so much effort into making the singleplayer part, I think they should include some sort of MP mode.

and now we have to use ehm ... AK-47's (the most clich? weapon of them
all, ffs !) in our MP

if they screw us to badly, i will make available anything from my taboo version necessary to make a multiplayer map.. we might not be able to frag it, but s**t, only worthless mappers, or truly gifted ones can make a map in less than 6 weeks anyways.. maybe by that time they will produce a worthy patch.

I'm sure if you just played through the single player game before playing multiplayer (like you should  ) by the time you beat it, a multiplayer would be out...

Honestly, isn't it suppose to be longer then Doom 3? Unless you plan on suddenly ignoring the rest of your life: it'll take some time.

And to be honest, DM modes are bulls**t without a good SinglePlayer campaign to rev you up for it.

But you guys love a dead over-done mode which will be out anyway.

@ Crono, TBH, I usually take ages to play in Single player games with good plots, it takes me a while to figure it out lol. All of you will prolly of finished the game twice before i've finished it once.

What's it got under the hood you ask? Well for a not-too-shabby price of $2,200 CDN it has:

-Athlon 2500+ oc'ed to 3200+ with a Vantec Aeroflow keeping it at a nice 40 degrees celsius.
-1GB Corsair hardcore, er I mean XMS memory at 2-2-2-6.
-200GB Seagate HDD
-ATI 9800 Pro 128MB version
-Audigy 2 ZS Soundcard
-Soltek 75FRN2-L Motherboard
-Antec TrueBlue 480W PSU
-Pioneer 16xDVD-R/RW
-LG 52x32x52 CD-RW 16xDVD-ROM
-2x Floppy drives (Why? Just Because.)
-Samsung 955DF 19" Monitor
-Logitec Z-640 Speakers
-2x Vantec Nexus fan controllers to go with the 2xBest Cooler 2xRedEye and 4xCooler Master fans.
-Linksys Wireless G PCI
-Leadtek TV2000 XP Expert Video-in/Capture card
-iCute/nGear case
-2x Sunbeam Dragon Fan Grilles
-Sunbeam Cold Cathode
-Logisys LED case feet
-and a Microsoft Multimedia/Wheelmouse Optical combo to finish it off

All parts picked, purchased and assembled by myself.

(Oh, and the picture is blurry because my girlfriend's digital camera is afraid of the dark.)

Same here. GF4 MX 420 is the problem. I've got to save up more for RAM,
HDD, Windows, and a mid-range graphics card (ATi 9600 should be enough)
before my desktop is complete, so my laptop will just have to sacrifice
a lot of hard drive space for the time being!

Sorry to derail the topic, but...

OMG HOW MANY TIMES MUST I SEE A BLURRY WEBCAM PHOTO OF SOMEONES CASE WITH NEONS!?!?!1?!?!1?1!?!?!!?!?

You obvoiusly spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on that peice of work. Sell the neons and get a decent camera. And this goes to all you blurry-box-picture-posters out there.

...anyway...

My problem is... hmm... duron 1ghz cpu. Either that or the 133mhz sdram. Must spend a bit...
