I'm running a dule monitor system off a Radeon 9600 pro. My main
screen is going to hell, it used to move a little left and right.
Like some one was changing the screen location realy fast, but now it
is at the point where it will start to shake wildly and stick way to
the left (so half the screen is out of the frame).
All i know is:
It only shakes left and right.
its running at 60hz
1280x1024 resolution
changing hz (I've tryed 40-120) dosn't help
lower resolution dosn't helo (even down to 800x600)
The only info that I could find said it could be stuff around the
moniter, like the second moniter... but only one does this. The
other is fine.

I assume you have two CRT set up next to each other. Could it be
the EM frequency emitted from one of the monitor interfering with the
other CRT? I've never heard this type of problem, but it's just a
thought.

Well here is what happend, I moved everything (2nd monitor, mouse,
keyboard, speakers, usb hub) away from the problem monitor. I
still had the problem, so I switched power plugs. Still no
help. Then I lugged it upstairs and plugged it into another
computer in the house.
still dancing around.
So my conclusion is the monitor its self is to blame. So the
question is, do I get it fixed? or buy a new one? It is a very nice
monitor, 17" (or 19") perfect color, good resolution, etc.
If anyone out there has a good monitor they would like to sell PM me.

I think that might be repairable, though I'm not sure. Try to get it fixed if you can.

My monitor has some function called "Degauss". It's to get rid of
magnetism or something ... you could try that, if your monitor supports
it.

It sounds like something that should be easily & cheaply repairable if you take it into a shop somewhere given that you say the colour is perfect (so there is something wrong with the electron gun magent doowhackeys?! Try turning it on and off several times in a row)

right, i get this on my pc, i stopped it by setting both monitors to have horizontal sync on in windows.
