NATIONAL FLAGS

I was wondering if there was a way we could add small national flags below our avatars, or in our profiles? I think it would be cool to see whos from Where. I just found out that Lep is over the great pond in the UK. I always thought he was a Yank, like me.

For instance, I am in the Good ol' USA. The Great Nation of Texas, err State of Texas... soon to change though. So I would like a small USA flag. Can that be done LEP?

I think it would be a nice little feature, but there is always the "from El Paso TX!" to tell you where people are.

There are like 4 zips there with World Flags.

I also did a google search for world flags and found quite a few.

I like the Snak Flag by the way that is way cool.

If there're any modellers here who could modify the snark model to look
like a Snark standing up on it's back legs and holding a flag with it's
front legs, that would look brilliant.

it's an hl1 model, which means replacing the flag with any other 8bit 256x128 .bmp in jeds model viewer is childsplay.

Its a Model sweet, that means we have a model we can get the wire frame from and use on the t-shirts. AWESOME!

I hope we can use the little snarks with flags under our names or on our profiles.

You know what always bothered me most about the snark? The damned thing could inflict so much damage, yet had no obvious means of doing so. Look at the big pic displayed here in this thread. It has a cyclops eye and tiny feets, but nothing offensive in the way of weaponry.

Maybe it had some "Quantum" toenails and clawed you really fast.

I'm pretty sure the snark has some teeth. In HL 1 I seem to
remember that the idle animation is when you try to pet it/poke it it
struggles and attempts to bite you.

Didn't the original box have that image on it? I am unsure now, since its been ages, but I have seen that particular snark screen someplace before..

It's from the High Definition model Pak that was released with Half Life: Blue Shift.

k, i downloaded the HD pack and played around a little with the v_model, which is the one with a decent beak.

I would like to move that The Snarkpit be declared an independent nation, and should also be represented at the UN.

Edit: Sorry about the filesize, and ignore that little bit of the bottom-center flag that's been chewed off. Snarks got hungry.

Is there any way we can get these Snark models (with/without flags) working in Half-Life 2?!

it's only a matter of converting the bmp to a vtf, and changing a few lines in the .qc file to get a static hl2 model. if animating for hl2 is the same as for hl1, then i could probably get the flag waving about.

getting it to run around doing snark stuff is another matter, though.

We need a snark ragdoll that can be shot at people.
