Ok, first of all, I realize that most of you probably haven't played
Guild Wars. Some of you might of never heard about it
ethier. In summery, Guild Wars is an MMORPG with no monthly
fee. Visit www.guildwars.com for more info.

This is a story about a noobish team going to the Hall of Heroes.
The Hall of Heroes is like the superbowl of Guild Wars PvP. Only
the best get to fight there normally. The best out of three
countries that is.

Well, here it goes, enjoy.

Yesterday, at about 11:40 PM, a team of necgros and monks made it to
the HOH. I happened to be one of those monks. The hall is
the most pretty thing you are going to see in guild wars. Imagine
(Because I was to busy fighting to take screens) and arena covered in
gold. Ok, the starting area was massive, about the size of a 1/4
of the underground. The ground is covered with gold plates that
you can leave footsteps in. The gate out is this stunning golden
gate with to angles flying. As the timer runs out and you are
allowed to leave, the gate ignites into an explosion of flame.
There is a walkway to the center battlezone. Along this walkways
are massive gold statues of all the gods. The center has four
ramps leading down into an octagon shaped room. In the middle is
a platform of shiny gold.

The objective: to capture that platform and hold it.

Our team was outmatched and outguned. We didn't deserve to be
there. I mean we had people that had only 3 fame! We were
called in to substute for a team that left. Anyway, as the gate
exploded we went on our way to try to do as much damage as we
could. The koreans were the first to capture the platform.
We charged in there like lunitacs and were quickly owned. But,
our distraction allowed the other american team to go in and capture
the alter. We charged in again, determined to get that alter
back. The resulting battle lasted for 5 minutes, and then, Korea
ran away. Korea drew back just as they were getting the upper
hand! Now it was just the two Americans. We fought like
mad, not expecting to live a second longer, yet we did. At one
minute left, Korea realized it's mistake. America wasn't going to
give up that alter under any condition. They charged back
in. And then the amazing thing happened. Us, the losers,
the noobs that didn't belong there, were winning! We were
winning! I looked at that scorecard to see us on top, and the
other teams dwindling. We did it. We were going to be Hall
of Heros chapions! And then the timer stuck zero. Red had
managed to prevent us from capturing the alter, and when time was up,
all that remained was that last american team.

I am, if you haven't realized, extremely proud of how my team
performed. Something about fighting for your country, even if it
is a trivial matter, gets your adrenaline pumping, and allows you to do
amazing things. Impossible things.

After that battle was up, I was pumped. Ask Gulsef.

Anyway, thats all I have for my amazing journey. If this story
had a moral, this would be it. Never give up, do your best, and
nothing is out of your reach.

B)

Wow, my longest post ever...

I really wish I had screens to show you

Until later...

On topic: Has anyone given more thought as to our SPit clan and this game??

UHM No it is not a MMORPG, it is a RPG, like Diablo.. it is not a
Massive Multi-Player Role Playing game, you can try and lie and make up
why you think its a MMORPG, but you would still be wrong. Nice story
though.

Well behaved Snarkpit members are welcome to join my guild (Gods Of Nothing...name is quite apt since we're only 4 strong and haven't played a single Guild Vs Guild match!).

It's just me, Devious and two of his mates at the moment.

Look me up under the following names in-game:

Adam H
Casual Tea
Mesmer Ice

Unfortunately, it's unlikely i'll bump into him Orph as the game is segregated into 3 regions (Europe, Korea, and the US). You can change region but only a limited number of times.

No offense to any oriental members, but.. How does Korea warrant a region?

PC gaming is huge in Korea Orph, particularly online oriented games such as Guild Wars.

Yeah Korea is one Wired country.

BF2 is a great game I got it today, and have had the demo for a week or so now. You'll enjoy it.

I have GuildWars too.. I dont play it as much as World of WarCraft, but
its a good game, and if you have to wait a few months before getting
it, it will only be better when you do.

While skimming though these post, I've relized that there are very many comments on the acual story...

We seem to have wandered off topic a little. Is the story just not interesting to any of you?

Just wondering...

Oh, and Korea has a very different culture than America. To them
the greatest thing you can do, is to sacerfice yourself for the
team. The team meaning a number of things... ie. job, country,
friends, and of course, their guild. This mentality makes them
extremely good at pvp. But, that said they are beatable.
You just have to understand them first.

I presume it was this?

Looks good...Before it was out I was interested in buying it but then Dungeon Lords tested me and I still have not decided which one to buy...I am buying Monster Hunter though cause that is cool.

Think it's more of a case of not wanting to keep patting you on the back for winning a match mate. Tis all well and good you winning, but we don't need to keep congratulating you over and over just for the sake of staying on topic do we?

there was a story.. DOH, I hadn't noticed I was sorta distracted by the Its a MMORPG line and its not.. sorry.

the story is hard to follow, it has to many acronyms, and if a
person had never played the game wouldn't have a clue what your talking
about..
