I guess my joking didn't really come out as a joke, did it? Oh well,
you've changed back to your original self-with-sunglasses anyway...

that was a easy puzzle.
Yeah, I agree. But doesn't it feel good to push that washing
machine into the basket? I don't know any other game that uses
such physics system in the gameplay.
yup it does(smily screen disapeard.)

Mhh, anyone knows where Cassius got that new avatar from?
Meh....sets it as desktop
Don't have any higher quality version from it. The HL2 Jpeg compressor buggers screenshots op from time to time.

Set jpeg_quality 100 in the console for slightly better pics if you haven't done so in your autoexec or whatnot or while taking screenshots - It makes the quality better than the default 90.

Alternatively you can get full quality TGA files by binding a key to "screenshot" in the console.

What? Don't you think that a picture of a young woman fending off some creepy dude with a crowbar's lecherous tendencies is very representative of him? I think it fits him to a T.

i wasn't thinking of just Cass, but no i do not.. course thats nothing new, i often chose the other side of things.

more to the point, since you brought it up.. i look at your avatar, i think of you.. it could be because you have retained it so long, but i don't think thats it.. you are not shy, you speak up when its necessary, and when you do its usually appropriate.. the avatar you use is fairly representative of that.. those particular monkey's are often quiet, till someone ventures within their sphere of influence.

other people, their avatars are almost in opposition to their real personality. no i won't point any out, because it would draw them into a conversation that they may or may not want to be in.

other change theirs weekly.. i used to myself. it took me ages to find one that suited not only my self image, but one that other should see as well. i see myself as a well of knowledge. a shallow well to be sure, but i give all 100% of it away. others see it as a broken faucet, one that needs replaced.. but still it fits their image of me. others see it as an old faucet, one leaking but not totally useless. in the end, you can look at it and see me in one form or the other, but all fit.

and, thats what tends to be you.

now, you have a female, if you are going to pick a female avatar you would be better off with Professor McGonagall from the potter books. she of all the females i can currently think of, fits your personality traits.

i know that no one seems to take this community as seriously as i do, but perhaps you will sometime.

avatars should be important, but they do not need to be i suppose. i do know it is a personal thing to most i have talked to about the subject. i would advise to many not to degrade the importance, it could lead to an argument.

i also know, others cannot chose an avatar for you. if you want to be portrayed as a female Cass. go for it. but i tend to think of you as a firestorm that cleanses as it passes your region.

Ouch! That looks painful. But then, if the Combine is already dead, it wouldn't hurt very much.

Or perhaps those Combines go through special flexibility training at the Combine military school. Who knows, maybe they can even ballet.

Post lots of screenshots in one post, not three or four.

Take some time and effort over your spelling/grammar/general text?

It will be extremely beneficial to your time here if you do...

Stop spamming the forums - all three of those could have been in a
single post. If you find you have forgotten to say something soon after
posting, then edit it into the existing post. I've seen an insane
number of consecutive posts from you on some threads and there really
is no need for it.

Exactly.. very rarely do we become truly "angry" on these forums.

All we are trying to tell you is that this community prides
itself on a certain level of quality and maturity - and you will do
yourself lot's of favours by posting more slowly

Put more thought into your words, expand on sentences, use commas/full stop's/capitalisation (ie a - A, b - B).

Oh and for goodness sake, if you have something to add to a post, use the edit function.. it isn't "hard" at all

Orph - I'm only removing screenshots which load on the forum pages -
remote linked shots won't be under any kind of restrictions, because
you can choose whether or not to look (and in turn allow it to
load/close the window if it's too slow) at the offending pictures.

Yeah, I liked that one...I was noclipping through the levels and found
lots of neat stuff I didn't notice previously. This guy was one of
them...but it took me a while to get a good cinematic shot since he
likes to walk around and well, sweep.
