No sir.

Is the first screenshot from a 'Zombies Gone Wild' segment? He's showing an awful lot of cleavage.

He's also got some gigantic nipples. It must be pretty cold in there.

However, those are some really 'awesome' looking hallways.

Seriously, I don't get it. They have some pretty cool looking bump-mapped effects with all those metal bits pulling flesh around and then they go and make a silver dollar sized puffy nipple on top of pecs that are really round and have more cleavage than most women.

They've been working on the game so hard and long that the areas of
their life being depraved currently are revealing themselves in their
work.

About those bump-mapping effects ... I think the Doom-engine is
over-doing them. All those screenshots I see look somehow unrealistic
because it's really all bumpmapped. (Which looked really silly with
those textures from Doom?)

In the world of Doom3 and QuakeIV, everyone is made of chicken skin, Including the "puffynipple amateur zombieslut transvestites." Oh, and ALL surfaces, including computer screens, are made of football leather. other than that it looks like it is very cool and won't run smoothly on my computer. Joy!

I like the style of it. I don't give a damn if it doesn't look realistic, there's just something about it that looks cool

Coolness matters

Its single I know thats a fact.

I dont care how it looks as long as it plays as well as Q3, lest we forget how nice Doom3 looked and how lame its gameplay was.

Edit: Thank you.

Any other information or screens available at this time can be found in the November `04 issue of PC Gamer. There's also a PC Gamer shooter guide released that includes a collection of previews for all the big FPS franchises, including the article on Quake.

PC Gamer had a 10 page preview with about 10-12 shots.

The Yahoo shots are fine, as they're from the PCG material. The post I was referring to posted renders of characters and such leaked out by an unscrupulous thieving artist some time ago.

OOOoooooh those ones from ages ago eh? I still have them on my PC, nice work but I know they are only artistic renders, no game in this day and age could cope with models that are 4 million polys lol! As for PCG I can't remember seeing a big thing about it, maybe it was only in the US one or something.

Yeah, US PG Gamer had the big article. PC Zone had one too, but it sucked ass and they made the screens look terrible - cropping parts out and putting them at full page resolution, stretching stuff, etc. etc. Ugh.

The renders were from the high-poly source models. It's not just an artistic render, that's where the normal maps come from. You don't see the however many hundred thousand or million polys in-game, but you see almost every one in the lighting detail on the character. The Unreal Engine 3 tech page has a great example of this with higher poly detail and texture resolution (but then, having min-spec of a gf6800 or so will let you do that  ).
