Half-Life 2: Deathmatch The_Real_Killbox

I played a map called killbox eariler this week, descided I needed my own version with my level of detail.

learned a couple new entities (not many)
and it was good practice, I noticed with the more practice it takes increasingly less time to do brushwork on a map.

tried to pay attention to texture alignment and how well they go together.

just needs some sound, small tweaks, and it'll be ready for release
but before I do, if anybody has any idea's they'd like to see this map utilized for let me know.

Has cannons like my "halls_of_chimera" map but they are rotated at a 45 degree angle to encourage some distance when shooting rather than simply straight up and down.

tried to resymbol the HL2 Combine vs Rebels Color theme.

2 spawnpoints, and a pretty much symetrical level...

still working on the gameflow though.
and theme issues.

[edit] So guys I finally upgraded my computer. I can actually map for hl2 without giant lag, so I think I'll remake this map and seeing as HL2CTF appears to be dead (D:), it'll probably end up as a Fortress Forever map. Which will be a challenge, as I've never played TFC :D [/edit]

I got the idea of this map from the cs 1.6 map cs_monopoly. This map has all custom textures that i made. It is VERY small with 10 spawn points, 8 weapons, 10 health kits and 10 batterys. As always please report to me any bugs you find in the map and comment on it good and bad things.

This is a very small fy map i made for fun when i was bored and had nohting better to do. its basically just a small fighting arena with a bunch of
crates to shape the layout. it only fits 12 players (you wouldnt want any more) but it still a lot of fun with both bots and human players. download and have fun.

this map was originally an example map for a mod, i never intended it to be a released DM map. since i moved on to something else, i decided to make it into a DM map. its bascily a small apartment filled with a bunch of physics props to accomidate for its close quarters fighting. a very small but fun map, download and have fun.

and yes, the name did come from the song "Stinkfist" by Tool.

This is one of my landscape projects I am currently working on. Its Opera house lane in Wellington, NZ. The concept is to take this unused forgotten space, alley way, street, and turn it into a more viable sustainable, safe place.

Untill The 420 Crew Invaded and held the Bars Hostage.

"Underground sources say that the curator of The Sanctuary of Apollo, an important Mediterranean archaeological park/museum, has allegedly borrowed money from the local Mafia to finance a new exhibit. The Mafia family has accused the museum of refusing to repay their loan, and has subsequently sent in threats to the members of the museum's administration. It is feared that the Mafia intends to bomb a part of the museum to avenge their betrayal."

About the Map:
de Apollo is a medium-sized demolition map arranged in a 'four-square' layout. The major areas are as follows:

Museum Entrance- CT Spawn
Roman Basilica - Bomb A
Street and Coutyard - Central connection to all areas
Museum Gallery - Bomb B
Roman Ruins - T Spawn

A simple "frag yard" map set in an urban junkyard at the suggestion of one of my buddies on 4honor.net. This map marks the beginning of my map making career. I have a background in 3D CAD (inventor, SolidWorks...) so mapping has been a familiar, yet new challenge for me. Enjoy the screens! Thanks for checkin' out my junk!

The F.B.I. has located the money laundering facility of the city's largest drug cartel in this abandoned junkyard. The city SWAT team has broken through the outer wall in its attempt to serve justice and recover the 10 million dollars in bloody drug money. The local thugs protecting that cash however, are already waiting, ready, and just as deadly...

Sven Co-op (HL) sc_gosu

I converted my HLDM map Gosu to Sven Co-Op. The theme is the same as in the original map so first you got these lab parts and then later you teleport yourself to the Xen alienworld. SC_Gosu is a medium sized svencoop map, but compared to my other svencoop maps this one is really hard. You can hardly beat it alone. As a little special feature I converted pine_hills to a xen world map and put it into sc_gosu. That's the coolest part imo.

main points of the map:
  • conversion of Gosu (hldm)
  • lab- and xen-theme
  • 4+ players recommended
  • difficulty of the map is hard
hints:
  • you can destroy the door with the toilet sign
  • after you've met the scientist you have to find
and destroy the green crystal power sorce for the transporter
  • it is somewhere in the alien environment lab
  • after destroying it you can use the teleporter
  • use grenades to kill the gargantua
  • use the crossbow against the alien controllers (flying aliens)
  • use the lightswitch
