I really like the blue and white, they work really nicely together, though I feel a third shade (a light blue, most likely) could add a lot of needed definition to it. The tall blue only spires need another colour on them for sure, they look like a huge waste of polys since they are quite complex but none of that complexity can be made out (at least in the screenshots). Certainly some funky and original brushwork going on here though, good job so far :)

love the brushwork, great work cass! I agree with reno, another color would help give it definition.

Hey, you're using Glow-mod! Cheater!

Looks good anyway. But how are players going to walk around on it? I'd imagine I would be falling off every other minute or so myself.

2 colors in each shot, and ungodly high file sizes.. on a plus note.. the section contained within the tiny red X is kinds small.

I think Tracer meant playing in game, as its always kinda
different when running around in a level to just looking at pictures.

It looks very different to say the least. What are you going to do about weapons? You can't just leave them lying around on a map that looks like this  . Besides that maybe you should cut down on the red a little, it hurtsss.

Are the two areas connected in any way?

I was sorta of the understanding that this was the same map retextured
in two different colours, but I just had a cool thought - is the colour
change dynamic? I have no idea how this glow works, but if it was
dynamic and changed colour during gameplay, that would be quite awesome
 Something tells me I'm wrong however.

The glow is automatic, at least if you're using the vertex/pixel shaders. They target lighter values and blur them.

A changing colors theme would have to be done with some texture switching stuff in hammer.

But, vertex and pixel shaders is a nice addition to HL. (Notice the guy who implimented it is using Cg ... a fairly new language for your videocard)

Ooh... Imagine if the colored part was an animated texture and alternated between all the colors of the rainbow! Seizure city! I would love it!

What would have if you had the tron style glow on a func_illusionary / func_wall that was rendered to "pulse"?
