So i saw peppers answer a day or two ago on the poll on "how big is your half life folder?"
pepper replied that his has 20-30 mods installed on his, and it got me wondering which mods people actually prefer...which lead to me making this poll.

Natural Selection, though recently it's become very unbalanced. Let's hope Beta 4 will squash these problems.

Partial to a bit of Frontline Force myself  But then I have to say that really...
Used to play Firearms and DoD but they lost their appeal really quickly.

At the moment, DoD, though I used to be into CS quite a lot. Really I'm more of a DM player than anything at heart, its my HL roots

After all these years, Action Half-Life still holds my attention over pretty much every other MP game. The only other one that really diverted me for a while was Enemy Territory.

I played the DoD betas quite a bit, and pre-3.0 ns. I played TS and I still love it. Never took much of a shine to DM though, so I guess for me its CS + TS

I'd be happy playing any of those mods, as they are all kickass. But since I have to choose one I chose NS, as it is the most original one and pretty fun. The quality of HL mods really are impressive, as they all are better than most games coming out now. I played MoH for the first time yesterday, and it's a joke compared to DoD. BF1942 can't hold a candle to DoD either. Sad that a bunch of amateurs working on a five year old game can make more impressive and fun stuff than most developers.

My favorite mod is the one that doesn't call itself a MOD - it's not a freakin' acronym! head explodes

I gotta say dod, since it's one of the only mods that I don't get board of. However, I haven't played NS, ever. I should probably give it a go ... when I hear that it is balanced game play again ...
I originaly heard of it form a friend (long before the beta 3 version) and he said that it was majorly unbalanced then, so I didn't bother playing it. Oh well.

Online Gaming Dictionary:
"unbalanced" = "I'm not so great at this, therefore i'll criticise it's logistics!"

NS is unbalanced only if you have a team that knows what they are doing versus a clueless one, and that's not the fault of the mod.

Seeing as I've played DoD since 1.3b I'd have to say DoD. Don't play as often as I used to, but still crank it out once in a while.

It's not the balance of NS that I don't like, it's simply that I really just don't like the gameplay. It's gotten better, but I really can't enjoy it, it's mainly the atmosphere and style of the maps, I'm not one for dark small corridors.

I chose HLdm although its not a mod, but I still prefer death match, cs is cool but it doesnt have the same fast action as HLDM does.

Natural-Selection... I love that mod.
